Lady GaGa Marks Herself Down!
Lady GaGa knows exactly what's going on in the world and that's why she plans on bringing each and everyone a little bit of affordable joy by releasing a reasonably-priced, standard version of her new album, The Fame Monster.
"In the midst of my creative journey composing The Fame Monster, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album," Gagita said in a statement. "I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP. It is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet. It doesn't need The Fame."
The lower-cost version of the album is priced at $9.99, allowing those who are feeling the heat of the recession to purchase the Monster.
"We may have an economy, but music has no economy," continued the Lady. "I will release four or more singles from The Fame Monster, tour the world with the Monster Ball Tour and most importantly, I insist on honoring my fans with an affordable new album, an album that is as loyal to them, as they have been me."

Here's the thing people, if you cannot find or purchase an album or CD for less than $10 new, then you're not trying hard enough, and you deserved to be getting shafted constantly by the record companies.
This rocks! I was really worried there for a bit when it just seemed like things kept getting added to The Fame Monster, I just envisioned the price tag going up and up. I don't need all the extras, just the music to be happy, so I'm glad there will be a version I can afford. Thanks GaGa!

BTW, I still think that's quite expensive for a re-release with just a few extra tracks. She could've atleast thrown in an exclusive DVD and then sold the CD for the same price instead.
Smart move. Who needs to buy a second copy of The Fame anyway? Just give us the new songs. I think it's stupid that it took her that long to realize that she had enough material for a whole new album.

OK! I give up! She's truly "The Next Madonna" the world has been looking for. Of course there will only be one Madonna and until she retires, she will always be the Queen, but Lady Gaga is OK. She can be cool sometimes and the fact that she is so confidant in her work makes me happy that if there is one thing she got from Madonna it's hard work and a lot of creativity can go along way when you just have ambition and take chances.

It won't work. The album will still FLOP even if they gave it away. She is no longer interesting. Quite transparent actually. Dull and Boring.
As much as I like the new songs it's not really a sophomore album. It is, as stated, an EP. I respect and love it as it is but I would have taken 6 more months to make it a full album. It looks like a rushed release to get that "sophomore trauma" out of the way. I know that it isn't but it does seem that way.
To add to my previous post, now everyone will always have that feeling like "is this her 3rd or 2,5 album". I would not want that kind of confusion in my carreer.

She and her record company realized - after all of the criticism - that she was going to lose sales because a lot of people were not going to buy a deluxe edition of something they already have. Nice job of going out of her way to pat herself on the back. And if this thing can indeed stand on its own two feet, then why didn;t they just release it as an EP in the first place - or add tow more songs and release it as a full album?
