Lou Dobbs Leaves CNN
Wow!
Lou Dobbs, who has been at CNN since it's inception, is leaving the network! The controversial news anchor said that “some leaders in media, politics and business have been urging me to go beyond the role here at CNN and to engage in constructive problem solving as well as to contribute positively to the great understanding of the issues of our day.”
Dobbs hasn't revealed where he's headed yet but he's considering "a number of directions and options." His contract was renewed through 2011, but CNN has let him out of it early.
Dobbs is well-known for his anti-illegal immigration standpoint and spoke many times of the "conspiracy" that President Obama is not an actual US citizen.
He also provoked a protest this year by different Hispanic groups who complained that CNN allowed Dobbs "to spread lies and misinformation about us each night." Consequently the advocacy group Presente.org, who requested that Dobbs was fired, are considering his latest move a "victory."
Though it's being denied that he ever had talks with the Fox News network, we're sure it's one of his many options.

I did not agree with much of his politics, but loved the fact that he spoke his believed and that CNN did not censure him. So much for balance at CNN. The Casa Blanca will be happy about this.
I don't see him going to Fox. I might be way wrong, but he is SO arrogant, and pompous, that he'd rather be THE ONE. Fox already has Hannity, and Beck, and O'Reilly. Too crowded. Lou Dobbs needs to be utilized in a much bigger, broader sense than CNN. This is such a smart move. Only a moron would deny the fact that America has a pressing illegal immigration problem.

Obama has yet to prove he was born in the US. Lou Dobbs had different opinions that did not align with CNN's political agenda. It's no secret CNN is a liberal media outlet, and they worship Obama. Lou Dobbs would probably fit better at Fox. Kudos to him though for sticking it out against an angry mob for so long. I'm surprised he didn't leave sooner.
I hope he ends up with Fox News. They are the only channel that actually reports the news. Fox's ratings are sky high. I haven't watched any other cable channel news station in a very long time. Good for you Lou, take pride and report the news as it is - not the news you are told to report by CNN. They are tanking big time as is MSNBC.

Its sad that Lou Dobbs is only known for bashing immigrants and questioning President Obama's citizenship. I understand the old fart wanted to stand out among the CNN shows but shit talking about the same damn thing was just pathetic at some point. Don't get me wrong I like listening to different point of views but when you spit the same venom on a daily basis it gets old really fast. He didn't really bring anything new to the table so I'm not going to miss him at all. CNN's ratings are down because the election is over and their news is boring…then again MSNBC & FOX suck too.

I ALWAYS hated this guy. I would change the channel instantly when I saw his face on HLN. I am glad he is gone. He contributes nothing to society on any positive level.
This is sad. I actually quite liked him. And he was always a good response when mentioning that CNN is actually the most non-biased news station.

The one thing Lou Dobbs is right about is that the millions of Illegal Aliens should for the most part (98%) be repatriated ASAP. The situation is way out of control and causing a lot of harm to American poor and middle class Citizens who can't afford to keep their homes and are living on FOOD STAMPS.
