Taylor Swift Didn't Deserve To Win?!?
We already told you how Miz Taylor Swift rocked the Country Music Association Awards last night, beating out the competition.
T-Swizzle made CMA history when she won ALL four of the awards she was nominated for, making her the youngest person and first female solo act to win the CMA's Entertainer of the Year award since Shania Twain last year.
However, not everyone thinks she deserved the Entertainer of the Year Award. And no, this time it isn't Kanye West killing her moment.
It's Wynonna Judd giving her opinion when no one cares to hear it.
According to Judd, she thinks Taylor's too young to have won, even bringing God into it and talking about herself.
Says Wynonna:
"You want my honest comment? It’s too much too soon. Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing too soon. My thing is, being a home-school mom, I want kids to earn it, and I think some time … ’cause mom and I rode in a car for the first year of our career to visit radio stations. There was a making of the star, there was a rising up, and the fans went with us. Now it’s over coffee breaks, the success, almost. You have to play catch up … It's like the girl who wins an Oscar and she's under 20. What do you do from here?"

Wynonna, honey, Taylor won Entertainer of the Year, not Entertainer of the Decade! And guess what, for the past year she's been on TOP of the charts. Where have you been?
Do U guys think Judd's right and Taylor won the award too young? Or does age have nothing to do with talent?

I like Taylor.It's inspiring to see a girl around my age become such a huge sucess and she writes amazing songs that anyone can relate to.I do not feel like she deserved Female Vocalist.Did anyone see Miranda's face?I don't know if she was shocked or dissapointed but she clearly deserved the award.Not Taylor.If EOTY should go to the artist who sells the most than she deserved it.If they were going by talent than Kenny,Keith.George,or Brad should have won.
I have to agree, and I don't think Carrie or Wynonna are jealous of Taylor because they actually have talent. I don't understand the Taylor Swift hype. The girl can't sing.

honey, if you don't know who Wynonna is, then you have no business calling Taylor Swift "country". Wynonna and her mom are legendary, while TS is totally pre-packaged and has been sold as a "country" version of Britney at that age to tweenie girls and pop music stations. if I were in the Nashville music scene, I'd be embarrassed today - the kid did NOT deserve to win.
Wynonna could sing this little girl under the table. I think Taylor is a sweet girl but she cannot sing very well live. Doesn't have a strong voice.

why anyone would try and take anything away from taylor swift beats me. Wynonna hasn't been to one of Taylor's shows. She doesn't know her true potential. Seriously. Wynonna, no one cares about you. Go cry to your mommy.
I have to agree with Wynona. I have to admit that I am not really a big fan of Taylor's music, but I do think she is talented and has a great personality. But there is no way she should have won Entertainer of the Year. Someone said that she sells out all of her concerts, but they are not "her"concerts - she is still an opening act. I think she still has a lot of growing to do with her singing and performing. And they also need to let the whole "Kanye" thing die - enough already. It is really boring at this point.

True, True, True. Not to mention that Taylor's music is GARBAGE and its a sad state of affairs when a teenager can top the charts with such garbage (and its not just her… there are plenty of others). Goes to show what a sad state of affairs the music industry currently is.
Obviously she isn't saying anything about Taylor's talent, she is saying that if you give a child (namely taylor) too much fame without making them earn it they'll turn out like a country version of Lindsay Lohan.

Winona has a valid point. The Judds were a country sensation, though not overnight. We live in a time where obsession with youth prevails. Back in the day, it didn't matter if an artist was young, so long as they were talented. Now, it's just about idolizing youth and not wisdom.
Know what kids? There was a REALLY popular female teenage singer twenty years ago who was also a very mediocre singer and wrote all her own songs too. She was on every TV show and won all kinds of awards and everybody loved her. Then one day - POOF. No more career. Gone. Taylor Swift is this generation's Debbie Gibson.

Taylor Swift is great and all… but come on, beating Brad Paisley for entertainer of the year. She deserves success but she's totally catering to the pop world and the country world… awards like that should be given to people who are purely country..sorry.. I love her.. but she's not as country as she was before. Less people actually knew who she was until she was played on Pop radio stations…doesn't make sense that she beats out Country legends..
I don't agree OR DISAGREE with her statement. I do know that she is absolutely entitled to her opinion. I respect that. What she was saying, really, was that it MEANS MORE when you have worked long and hard for it. We all know that. And if we don't, we should.

I think Taylor deserved Entertainer of the Year because she was. She sold over 5 million albums and had sold out shows. I think Wynonna's comments would be agreed upon by many other country artists as well, but only because no one this young has won such a huge award. However, Taylor needs to give back the Female Vocalist of the Year award. The key word in that category is "VOCALIST". Vocally, she has nothing on any of the other four nominees in that category. Did you hear her performance compared to Carrie, Martina, Miranda, and Reba? I'm still pissed about that one. Carrie rocked it last night.
This reeks of VMA 2008 when MTV gave all of the awards to Britney cause they felt bad about her mega bomb the previous year. Taylor Swift can't sing live any more than Britney Spears can. And at least Britney puts on an enterntaining show. Taylor bobbles and weaves, and isn't talented at all. She needs to send Kanye a fruit basket. Without him, she wouldn't be getting sympathy votes.

I think it's great that Taylor won all those awards. If anything, she can go two ways: she can quit now and still call her career a success, or she can keep going and become a legend. Wynonna will never win that award. She's just pissed about that fact.
I agree with the Judds. Taylor is a very talented song writer.. but that's really it. I don't think she should have won half the awards she has been winning because she isn't that great of a singer compared to others she was up against! But she does has great talent for her age!
Oh, Taylor Swift is such ag enius- for Country Music perhaps. Actually as pop goes these days she's a cut above. But tht's not saying much. There are better artists all over the place who aren't getting heard. Do Something ABout it Perez! Take more of a stand.

While I'm not a country music fan, I have to agree with Ms. Judd here. Kids like Taylor, Miley, and all those Disney/Twilight people kindof came out of nowhere and got ALL THIS recognition for nothing much, really. They might be working hard, but it just seems like they rocketed too fast.
Re: angelalove – Taylor says that she's been knocking on record labels doors since she was 11 years old trying to get them to listen to her music, so 8 years later and she's won entertainer of the year…don't really get how that means she "rocketed too fast". She's been working for this all her life. And also she didn't come out of Disney or Twilight.
