Is Johnny Depp Helping Nicolas Cage With His Debt?

Johnny Depp has reportedly reached out to old pal Nicolas Cage to help him with his giant debt!
A source reveals:
"Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry and he'd help him and sort everything out. Johnny feels he owes his career to Nic and now wants to repay him — if Nic agrees."
The world actually owes Nic for introducing Johnny Depp to the world of acting thus letting us all appreciate his hotness!
Johnny was just a struggling musician when he met Nic back in the '80s. Nic set up a meeting with his agent for Johnny and that's how he landed his role on Nightmare on Elm Street!
The source also says that "Johnny has never forgotten what Nic did for him."
How sweet and generous of Johnny!
But will Nic swallow his pride and accept the gift? He should if he knows what's good for him!

That's sweet of Jon, but the story is not true. Wes Craven was just on one of those Halloween horror movie retrospectives and he told the story of casting Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street. Wes said Johnny was just tagging along with a friend who was auditioning and they asked Johnny to audition too. He did it on a whim. Wes said his teenage daughter later picked Johnny's photo out of the group and was like "OMG who IS THIS?" and that's why he cast Johnny. Maybe his friend wast Nick Cage? Hard to imagine - given their age difference, but maybe. Anyway, that story came straight from Wes, so this sounds like a tabloid backstory.

You know what, Perez? I don't even feel sorry for Nicholas Cage. Not one bit. He is a grown man. He has lived a really good life. And he has acted like a stupid, self-indulgent little kid. There's people out here with terrible tragic stories. People with little kids who worked hard and lost jobs. They have no health insurance and no home. This guy had castles in Eurpoe. (plural.) He has houses all of the world, not just in NOLA, LA or San Francisco. He makes hundreds of millions of dollars every year making craptastic movies. He is doing something he loves and he is successful at it. I cannot feel any sympathy for someone who lived his dreams and fantasies and blew it bcz he was too arrogant and too foolish to keep track of stuff and take care of his business. He had the money and the access to buy himself the best advisors in the world. Johnny Depp needs to look after his own family. Yes, it is nice to help someone, and get him with some good lawyers and business advisors to help him reorganize his business affairs, but Johnny shouldn't give him a dime.

Johnny Depp is VERY generous to be helping his friend out of a financial hole. HOWEVER, if Nicolas Cage is bailed out, he may not learn a lesson in taking responsibility for his lousy actions and repeat the same conspicuous consumption behavior again. He should be held accountable for his lack of monetary acumen…it's the only way he's going to grow up.

I do not feel bad for some rich jack ass like nic cage. His spending was out of control and he had untrustworthy advisers. No matter what happens Nic Cage will never be poor. He can go on for years more making shity movies at 10 to 20 million a pop. He will be ok.

It's just that right now, in my city, we are laying off teachers and cutting school funding and a lot of states like California are going bankrupt and they have to release prisoners from prison early, and also they are laying off police and firemen. They are in a lot of trouble. So when I hear about all these rich people getting away with stuff, and then here comes Nicholas Cage who hasn't paid millions of dollars of taxes, it makes me mad. Especially when you know NOLA was hit so hard from Katrina, how could he at least not pay his taxes. That's why he's losing those houses. He failed to pay his taxes. I have always loved Johnny Depp, but I actually hope this story is not true. For both their sakes.
