This Is It Garners $200 Million Worldwide!

The world cannot get enough of Michael!
After just two weeks in theaters, This Is It, the film documenting Michael Jackson's final tour rehearsals, has taken in $200 million internationally!!
Wowsa!
It takes the cake for highest-grossing concert movie of all time!!
Although the film brought in just $61 million in North America, it has made over $140 million overseas. Japan leads the packs with $27.2 million, followed by the UK with $14.3 million.
Just goes to show how much the King of Pop will be missed and, unfortunately, Joe Jackson is probably plotting his next move!

i heard da movie was relle good…
perez SHUT UP SERIOUSLY HOPE SOMEONE STUFFS UR NASTY MOUTH WITH HORSESHIT AFTER THEY KNOCK U OUT
U WERE THE ONE ACCUSING MJ OF FAKING HIS DEATH AND THEN DELETING IT AFTER U REALIZED U F ED UP… SO U HAVE SOME NERVE
An amazing movie, and keep in mind as outstanding as MJ is in this, they were only rehearsals - he is the greatest stage performer ever, and we so miss him dearly!
Re: Mickey9661 – You're right, they are stupid, ignorant assholes! The interesting part? They don't see it!
Re: minaahm – Re: minaahm – Both of our predictions came true for this weekend. This Is It is now the most successful American, Foreign, and Worldwide concert film.
Also This Is It is the most successful Foreign and Worldwide documentary and only Fahrenheit 911 and March of the Penguins are ahead of it in America. This is it beat out Earth awhile ago.
I don't know if the film closes prior to Thanksgiving on Wednesday or if it plays through Thanksgiving weekend. If it plays through the weekend it is possible to beat Penguins.
Next up awards season, this film could get Oscar and Golden Globe attention (see my awards potential post).
So now it's a success? You're really ridiculous and so transparent.
And how much of that $200 million would it have made if MJ were still alive?? Exactly. People always cease to be freaks and suddenly become "legends" after they die.
Re: Unbelievable! – "And how much of that $200 million would it have made if MJ were still alive??"
Ummm, Hello smartness, If Michael were alive *tear* the movie would have never had to be released??? But were you paying attention to how well the tickets for his concert sold? Obviously your comment about legends becoming successful only in death is incorrect. Michael was very much so alive when those tickets went on sale.
This Is It was AMAZING! MJ was still the best dancer, the best singer, the most creative artist, the best ideas man. That concert would have astounded the world with its energy, choreography, the magic of MJ, his spellbinding presence, the music, the sets, new ways of presenting the songs. He was the BEST EVER, the most loved all over the world and nothing, not even the negative losers can take that away.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i love those children
i hope paris prince n blanket get all of these..
