A Gilmore Girls Movie?

Perhaps, but not right now

If you are a fan of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore and have been sulking the last two years without them, chin up! There is a glimmer of hope that you'll get to see them again.

The series creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino is now working on a new show for HBO, so she was recently cornered interviewed about it. During the interview, the questioning began to waver into Gilmore Girls territory, but Amy talked very little about the series and where she would have taken it had it stayed on the air.

The reason being she wants to save the juicy stuff in case a movie gets made!

She says:

“I don’t want to totally say [what my ideas were], because if there is a movie in the making, I’m going to be basically delving back into where I left off, and then I’m kind of [screwed]…Anything can happen. I’m in touch with [Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel]. If there’s a story to tell, then absolutely I think we’re all going to want to tell it. That’s the bottom line."

Sounds like there might be hope for you yet!

      they're re-running the show here on tv (for like the 5th time) and its still fun! but i wanna see some new stuff, Rory's life as an adult, Lorerai with Luuk (finally!) and maybe even a baby.. who'll be Rory dating? will any of the exes come in the picture? i really loved her with Logan!
      damn too many open stuff left untold, so they most def should do a movie already!

      OMG I would kill to see a gg movie…so sad when it ended. It was such a good written show, and Lauren Graham Was and is one of the best actresses. I wish her nothing but success and and alexis bledel was good also. But i love love love lauren, she is so funny and love her character, and it seems she didnt need to act, and it come so naturally to her, like she was playing herself it seemed.

      Yes, I would totally watch it, I love that show and I miss it to this day. It's my favorite show, it ended horribly, everyone wanted to see Luke and Lorelai get married from the beginning. I hope and wish there is a movie for it, so we can finally have closure, REAL closure, not that crap they tried to sell us on the finale.

      Rory should marry Dean (even though I thought he was an over-jealous, emo and sometimes too angry boyfriend), but only if he's peaceful and been off to college already. Lorelai should be preggers. I'd love to hear the jokes she makes of her pregnant belly.

I was sooooo dissapointed in the series finale, it was obvious that it was supposed to just be a season finale then they changed it last minute… even on the dvd there's this 'day in the life of' segment you can watch and it's basically following the actress who plays Lane around the set on her last day of filming for hte season adn she even says "see you next season". the poor thing never even knew her last day of filming it ever was her last day :( I WILL ABSOLUTELY GO SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE THE STORY IS UNFINISHED!!! this is my favorite show of all time, it's so witty, and its the kind of show you can easily watch over and over again. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY MAKE THIS HAPPEN! I WILL BE FIRST IN LINE TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!
