Glambert Named Out Magazine's Breakout Of The Year
As if anyone else could have held this title for 2009?
Adam Lambert has been honored in the new issue of Out magazine as "Breakout of the Year" and he tells Out that he's "doing the best he fucking can" when it comes to his career and his fame.
Here are some HIGHlights:
On always being a professional performer and taking on American Idol:
"I've lived in L.A. for eight years. It's about making a good TV show. I just wanted to be really careful that it didn't turn into a fucking pageant. I can sing my face off. All this other stuff is part of a personality, a persona."
On the photos that surfaced of him and an ex-boyfriend kissing:
"I was like, ‘Great, that’s gonna fuck things up.’ It was the first time since I’d come out of the closet at 18 that I had to think about it. I didn’t want to acknowledge it as a mistake or something I was ashamed of—I’m not. It’s part of who I am, but because our nation is the way it is, it’s an announcement. If I lose some fans, fuck it. I need to be happy too.”
On love:
"I've only been in love twice. I have a lot of life experience, but I don't know shit about love."

American Idol is pretty pageanty, I agree with him. it's nice to see a celebrity that doesn't live in fear of ppl knowing or caring that he's gay. It's also rare to see such genuine honestly.

I am new to this Adam Lambert character, but he sure can sing. I like how honest he is. People try to put him and down and take what he has away from him, and he says "Fuck it." He seems to be a very nice and deserving fellow from his quotes from the Out writeup. He has worked his whole life for the chance to be a rockstar, and he finally is living his dream.

I really liked Adam on American Idol, I thought he was super cute, had a great personality, had raw talent, seemed super sweet, and was going to make it far. It seems like he's got a diva attitude now. He's trying way to hard to be edgy when he already naturally is and all he says is f..k!! I really liked him, but it seems now that he's changed and his music has become so average. His sound has changed, and even though he's kept his rock look, he's lost his rock sound. What happend to Adam Lambert??

He was lovable on American Idol and he's changed so much now that it makes some of his fans that loved him when he was on AI not so crazy about him now.
