There is no love for Diane Sawyer coming from Charlie Gibson. Though he may play like they are besties, insiders are reporting that Charlie dislikes Diane BIG TIME!
A source claims that Charlie frequently gives Diane "the stink eye" as well as "bad-mouths her openly and often."

Furthermore, we hear Charlie isn't too thrilled that Diane will be taking his coveted position at ABC Nightly News. Charlie had wanted George Stephanopoulos to be his successor, but the ABC News president, David Westin, gave it to Diane instead. That really threw Charlie into a tizzy!
A source reveals:
"He was shocked when he learned Diane got it, and he was really angry that she stole his thunder. As soon as she was named, it was all about Diane."

I watched and thoroughly enjoy GMA, but I have heard legendary stories about how unbelievably narsassitic and difficult Diane can be. I think Charlie is one of the few good guys.
Sometimes, I read things I wish I didn't. This is one of them. I think both are really class acts, but maybe now charlie is just a little less…..

Charlie Gibson has a real short memory. If there ever was anyone NOT qualified to be an anchor, it was him. When Peter Jennings died, ABC gave the seats to Bob Woodruff and Elizabeth Vargas. Charles was upset, he waited, and lobbied for the seat again after after Bob Woodruff got hurt in Iraq and Elizabeth left to have kids. His argument was about seniority. He convinced them to put a seniority policy in effect so he could be permanent full time anchor. Well. Now that he is leaving, guess who has seniority? Diane. who really should have got the job when Peter Jennings died. THe network brass did what Gibson lobbyed them to do. George Stephanopoulis isn't qualified to be a news anchor. He isn't even a journalist. He is a commentator.

It is widely known Charlie Gibson is a sexist asshole. He also critisized Elizabeth Vargas when she was the anchor for a few months and he eventually took over. Also, look what an asshole he was to Sarah Palin with his arrogant attitude and biased gotcha questions. I'm so glad he is gone. I hope Dianne kicks ass!
What's wrong with Diane??? Oh, I forgot…she's a WOMAN!! We can't have that now can we Charlie? And Stephanapolous? Are we really gettiong to the point that a network will hire a Democratic operative as their anchor? No wonder nobody watches the network news anymore.
