Bublé Defends Spears
The whole Britney Spears lipsynching saga continues, with many critics in Australia still bashing Brit Brit for her pricey concert tickets to a non "live" show.
But stepping out in her defense is hot Canadian crooner Michael Bublé.
While doing an interview in Australia to promote his latest album, Crazy Love, Bublé reveals, "You'd think she killed someone. Okay, she lip-synchs her show, people know that, they make the decision if they want to go and see her do that."
Well, we're sure not everyone knew before that she lipsynched her entire concert, but they do now. And the Aussies aren't happy about it.
But Bublé adds, "Does she deserve the way she's been completely bashed by the media here? No."
He goes on to joke, "Mind you, I lip-synch all my concerts. I'm the Milli Vanilli of jazz."

i went to brit's circus tour when she was in toronto and it was honestly one of the best concerts ive ever seen! (both on video and in person!)

I went to the show in Sydney on Tuesday night and I knew before I bought my ticket that she lip-synched because she had already started her tour. I am not a huge die hard Britney fan but I thought it would be fun. It was good. I think however that she should have maybe pre-recorded her voice live. What is sounded like was somebody put the Britney album on and then she was just down there dancing to it. If she pre-recorded it at least it would have sounded live and she probably would have avoided the critisisim.

Yes! She is a performer. Hundreds of artists lipsync. They record thier albums and then they dance their asses off at their shows and lipsync. Doesn't mean a thing. I LOVE Taylor Swift but i've seen some of her live performances and I'd wish she would just lipsync so I could have that quality song I hear on the album.

Personally, I prefer live singing, so I spend my money on live concerts.
But it's a decision each person makes.. if you don't want to pay high prices for lip-synching, then don't buy Britney's tickets. Simple.

I personally wouldn't go to a lypsynched show, but people have known for years that she does LS so they shouldn't be disappointed now. Obviously it would be difficult to perform an hour of choreography and maintain a consistent singing voice all the while, for so many cities night after night. Sacrifices have to be made to maintain the overall integrity of the performance so that each event is relatively (exactly) the same. Britney Spears is one of the most popular and in demand artists of our time!! Think about how few shows she could reasonably do singing live. That's fewer satisfied fans and fewer tickets sold. Pop music is a business!!
Lip synch or not, Britney's Circus Tour one was one of the most exciting concerts I have ever witnessed. Even up in the cheap seats the crowd was on their feet the entire time! In rare case like this, it is about more than just singing. Everyone from JLo to Janet lip synchs their concerts, so why is Britney taking all the heat?
People go to britney's concert to see her perform, not hear her sing! It'd be different if she was up there just standing there, lip-synching into a microphone. But most people know that's not what to expect at her concerts; she's up there dancing and creating an amazing time for her fans. Even though she lip-synchs, she still puts on an amazing show!

If people cared to read what is actually in the Australian media, they would find that it is not lip synching per se that is bothering people. It's the fact that she doesn't DO anything on stage. You can't justify lip synching when all you are doing is wandering aimlessly around the stage and occasionally flicking your hair. So, either sit on a stool and sing live, or lip synch and put on a show. Just don't lip synch and stand there doing nothing. That really is ripping people off.
The whole point of going to their concert is to hear them sing! Not lip-sync because that defeats the purpose of even going …
I went and saw her on tuesday and she was amazing, the whole show was amazing. Although she doesn't sing live, the show is spectacular, the magicians, the dancers, the songs, the sequences. I was luckily enough to have general admission tickets and i was within 10m of the stage. Britney looked amazing, everyone is calling her fat and for 2 kids and at 27 she looks pretty dam good to me. She was smiling, she looked happy to be there and to be performing. I'm going again tomorrow night and i cannot wait to do it all again.
We Aussies have been spoiled. Pink did 53 fabulous high powered shows. No lip synching there. Now that's talent.

It depends on good an entertainer someone is. Like Madonna or Janet Jackson…they're amazing entertainers and it really wouldn't bother me if they lip synched. If Barbra Streisand was lip synching I'd be very disappointed.

i think britney is just jaded, sick of 'performing,' sick of dragging her kids all over the world from hotel room to hotel room, and being nothing more than a source of income to her family and handlers. she just seems to desperately want some sense of a normal life, and her heart is not in it anymore and hasnt been for sometime. think about it, she has no friends in the sense that you and i think of/have friends, which must be an extremely lonely existence. really, she never should have done this tour to begin with, so soon after her breakdown, and the whole thing felt like she was utterly and completely pushed into it too soon. i think she felt so much pressure to do this when she really didnt want to, and wasnt able to say 'i am not ready for this.' yeah i crack on her sometimes, but at this point i just feel sorry for her. prime example that no amount of money can buy happiness. very sad.
Nobody danced and moved more than Tina Turner. Can you imagine Tina Turner EVER lip synching at a live performance? Not a chance. She's an artist and a legend. It's a matter of personal pride as a vocalist and entertainer.
Yeah, and that said, I'll bet Buble wouldn't be caught dead lip synching. He's being a nice Canadian guy with his comments.

My friend dragged me to the britney concert in jersey as a birthday present. She paid a shitload of $$$ for us to sit in nose bleed seats and basically listen to the cd with a little live entertainment. It was a crappy concert with twenty something girls screaming like tweens. Tacky. I will never again buy a Britney cd or concert ticket. Girl makes millions. The least she could do is sing.
It's really funny that he's defending her considering he's one of the best "live" singers I've ever heard. Oh well, if he can let it slide.. I guess I can too ;p

Britney is a great performer! I don't give a shit if she lip-synchs…that woman puts an amazing SHOW. and come on…people really thought she sings live? she's been around for 10 years. you should know better by now.
I went to Britney's tour in April, and yes it may have been lip-synced for most of it - but then again she was dancing and hanging from cables on the ceiling the entire time. As a singer and dancer, I wouldn't sing live during acts such as these. You would be too out of breath to dance and sing at the same time, and when you are flying across the arena by cables, doing acrobatic moves I would NEVER try singing ha ha. You pay the money to watch the production. She didn't lip-sync everything, but when she was doing these stunts, OF COURSE!
Normally I wouldn't want to go to a completely lipsynched show, but if you are a big fan of the person you just go for her and the show.
If people are still surprised that it's not live, they are the stupid ones…
