Captain EO Returns!

captain-eo.jpg

Wowsa!!!

Although the film was pulled from Disneyland several years ago, the Mouse House is planning to bring back Captain EO!

Michael Jackson starred in the 1986 short film produced by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Rumors are circulating that there will even be a premiere to celebrate its return!

We'll know where to find the Jackson family!

    7. 7

Well now that he is no longer (at least for now anyway) they bring this back? They couldn't stick by him during his times of trouble and pain? What jerks. No wonder Michael went "underground" so-to-speak. As for him showing up at any premiere my guess it would be one of his doubles like e'casanova.

Disney has already ended these rumors by stating that they have no plans to bring it back it this time. This statement was made weeks ago.

    12. 12

Now they should bring back the People Mover.

    13. 13

      pedophile.

"Although the film was pulled from Disneyland several years ago"………..It really annoys me that/when people (for example in this case Disney), who turned their backs on Michael when he was alive, decide to support his life's work….after he died. It's funny how for 7 years they didn't want to show the film at Disney Land, and by *coincidence* they now want to.

Close your eyes and listen to "Lifetime" for me. 46 bg

Re: Nelly_In_SJ – NO they got rid of this in the late 90's

      i'm glad it's back!

    22. 22

      Dude, finally!

I said that they should've done this a million years ago! Even before Mr. Jackson passed, I had mentioned that they should remaster the original short & put it back in Disneyland. No one remembers the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" films, seriously, so the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" 3D short is irrelevant to today's society.

    23. 23

      this expired news has mold

    24. 24

but LET'S WELCOME BACK JOE JACKSON!!!
you know he'll be there trying to cut a ribbon

      25

Yay! Captain EO is handsome, sexy and hot. It should be a permanent feature at all Disney theme parks.

    26. 26

Hey. Looking at this pic I was thinking that MJ should have stopped whittling away at his nose right then. It doesn't look as ghoulish as the final *nose* he ended up with.

A single page of lyrics entitled ‘The Innocent Man’,. These lyrics were apparently written during Michael Jackson’s child abuse trial in 2005.
"""If I sail to Acapulco or Cancun Mexico
There the law is waiting for me
and God knows that I'm innocent

If they wont take me in Cairo
then lord where will I go?

      I’ll die a man without a country
and only God knew I was innocent now."""

This was the best part about disney land when i was young wowowowow hope they bring it back. My little nephew would love to see this

    29. 29

i will be there for sure…

    30. 30

I saw this at Epcot Center in Florida and it was awesome!!

    31. 31

I saw Captain Io years ago at Universal Studios. After so many displays using holographic technology, to be ushered into a room (standing only)to see a shoddy 3-D of MJ at his crotch-grabbing, jerri-curl phase, the crowd was anxious to move on to "Back to the Future" thrill ride. I'm not being critical, for MJ was still alive then. To re-release Captain Io is just another way for the family and lawyers, etc to exploit their dead cash cow.

    32. 32

They should never have taken it away. Michael Jackson really did a lot to promote Disney when he was alive. They should have done it a couple of months ago though.

    33. 33

i dl'd this the night i heard he died. good stuff.

    34. 34

Saw it at Disney World when I was younger. I heard the Disney is not bringing it back because it's outdated. The Jackson kids got to see it this summer at Disney Land. Disney did a special showing for them.
