In Loving Memory

As a tribute to DJ AM, longtime friend and graffiti artist JoeX2 designed a billboard that was just unveiled over Travis Barker's Famous Stars and Straps store in El Lay.
It reads, "In Loving Memory DJ AM."
He will continue to be missed!

Wow, this is cool. I wish I lived in LA to see it.
R.I.P. DJ AM….I am sorry your love for music didnt overcome your addiction.
You seemed pretty genuine.
Who??????? NEXT
Awww..that's real cool. Poor Travis, misses and honors his friend.
That's LOVE and RESPECT
sick of hearing about him. Why is he famous????what the fuck did he ever do except spin music big fucking deal.he'll be forgotten in a year good riddence
Thats such a sweet thing to do in his memory
this really sucks. RIP.
ok seriously…WTF? he was a drug addict "D.J." who couldn't keep his habit in check. he wasn't some hero, or someone who saved lives, or helped the poor. he spun records in nightclubs, and did drugs! anyones death is a tragedy, yes, but its not like the world lost this immensely talented entertainer…move on people.
That's so nice to do in his memory!
THIS IS NICE. BUT FOR MTV TO PLAY HIS SHOW IS BULLSHIT. MTV AND OTHER NETWORKS NEED TO STOP GLORIFYING DRUG USE. THATS ALL DJ AM'S SHOW DID! WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE IS IT TO KIDS TO AIR A SHOW ABOUT NOT DOING DRUGS WHEN HE OVER DOSED HIMSELF!
RIP
RIP
Dj Am most knowed by snorking coke and nicole ritchie.
What about talking about substance addiction/plage. Mj, the dj, and so much more… Get over people, drug users end up dead!!!! People do all that shiz and turn into saints when they die???? honestly…
this loser nobody sued the estates of the dead pilots (in other words, he was trying to screw the families of the dead pilots); he WON'T be missed, good riddance
We know that you are having more fun now than ever before, but that is our secret. LOL
Sad.. Didn`t he used to date nicole richie ande engaged to her? Wow, was that a long time ago now…
I saw that the other day while I was driving, I was so touched. Its a nice tribute, but it did almost make me rear end the car in front of me, lol!
he did save lives and i'm sick of hearing stupid people saying he didn't. in his show gone to far he saved addict after addict and they are all still sober to this day. he was a wonderful person. even before the show he inspired me to get clean. he was a wonderful person. he deserves to be remembered forever.
With all due respect To his family and friends but i dont get all this celebration of him. He was addicted to pills wasn't he? Should we praise him for that? Don't get me wrong I just don't get it.
WHO GIVES A SHIT!!! ONE LESS WASTE OF A HUMAN BEING IN THE WORLD!!!
Nice tribute to him regardless of how he died
He'll continue to be missed??? BY WHO?
R.I.P Dj A.M
you can tell Travis will always remember and miss him like we do. Thats love and respect.
RESPECT!
thats a great peice travis barkers store i located on 3rd st and Crecent Heights right? i gotta pass by and check it out
that's nice
why do we wait to glorify someone in death and not their life?
I wish people would stop calling graffti "art" because it's not. I live in NYC and I see that tacky crap everywhere and really ruins the view! You wanna know art? Go to a museum!
Whats next, a memorial on the back window of your SUV? Say Goodbye already!
Who the fuck cares about this guy? He's just a fucking DJ. It's not like he discovered the cure for cancer.
Oh, pa-lease. This is way ridiculous - a waste of money!
He may have been a drug addict, and Im not glorifying it and nor shall anyone. but he has family and people who cared for him and if they want to put up something for their friend as a memorial, let them! Quit bitching.
MY FAVORITE DJ FOREVER GODBLESS YOU ALWAYS AM WE ALL MISS YOU
R.I.P DJ AM…
Re: the squirrel – I agree.
RIP DJ AM !
R.I.P. AM
Gone Too Far is a brilliant look at drug and alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the addict as well as their loved ones. Not all the cases go perfectly but that is addiction. At the end of each episode they address his death and the effect it had on the various addicts the show highlights.
Although he apparently was taking anti-anxiety meds and perhaps pain meds while filming the show his message is spot on and news of his relapse and ultimate death are further proof of where addiction can take you.
wow, thats really awesome. RIP
Junkie
I saw DJ AM last time he performed in Sacramento, in Jan. He was sitting at a table before his performance, with some friends, and seemed to be enjoying himself. I was so excited to see such a down-to-earth celebrity just sitting across the way from me. When him and Travis performed, I was in heaven. After, my friend and I went back and hung out with Paul Wall, and Travis. DJ AM went back to his room… I thought he was trying to avoid the "party scene". Now, I think he just wasn't happy and didnt want to be around anyone. I will truly miss the GREAT DJ AM!
RIP
RIP DJ AM!
