Martha Stewart Slams Rachael Ray!

Martha Stewart did NOT bite her tongue in an upcoming interview with Nightline when asked about TV competitor Rachael Ray:
"Well, to me, she professed that she could — cannot bake. She — just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes. She — and that's not good enough for me."
Ouch! She makes a good point, though!
Martha adds that a cookbook should be "a unique and lasting thing. Something that will really fulfill a need in someone's library."
She says that Rachael's approach "is different" and that she is "more of an entertainer…with her bubbly personality, than she is a teacher, like me. That's not what she's professing to be."
So did Rachael hit back with guns blazing? Absolutely not, in fact she agrees with Martha!
"Why would it make me mad? Her skill set is far beyond mine. That's simply the reality of it…that doesn't mean that what I do isn't important too…I don't consider it needling. I really just think she's being honest. She does have a better skill set than I do when it comes to producing a beautiful, perfect, high-quality meal. I'd rather eat Martha's than mine, too."
At least she admits it!

Martha you rule! Rachel Ray is annoying overrated wannabe cook. Anybody with half a brain could come up with her recipes just by looking them up on the internet or simply tossing ingredients together. Rachel Ray has no entertaining skills I wouldn't even let her do a Super Bowl party!

Meh. Rachael Ray is great because she addresses today's reality of limited meal prep time for most working women. She has the knack, and can throw a good meal together like nobody's business; plus she makes people comfortable because she's not stiff, and she sells. Martha is an anachronism; her approach is from a perfectionist viewpoint, and a time when women had hours to prep food and the money to buy the finest ingredients. Both have their place. Rachael could challenge any French Chef if she decided to study French cooking in depth. Rachael could bake just fine with exposure to the skill set.
omg that just makes me like Rachael Ray even more than if she'd gotten pissed!!! Rachael Ray is very nice and/or smart. So no matter what, she's got it.

I am afraid to get sick just by looking at Rachael cook. Fake broth, fake sauce, fake this and that. All additives and stuff. She makes almost McDonald's shizz
Martha needs to get that huuuuuge stick out of her ass. I know she is good but, that does not mean that everyone else sucks. I personally do not care for Rachel but, that was mean and I think she did it on purpose to try to knock someone down like the bully she is.

Martha isn't really "bashing" Rachel Ray, she's saying exactly what Rachel has always said herself - she is not a chef! She never claims to be a chef! They are on two different ends of the spectrum, and both have their own audience. There's nothing wrong with what either one of them does, and Martha was just being honest.
Martha Stewart is much too stuffy for me to be bothered to watch. Rachel Ray is too perky, she drives me crazy. I won't bother watching her either. In fact I don't watch any shows like that. I know how to cook. I can read a cook book if I want to make something special. These two women don't impress me. They're money making machines with a gimmick. Plain and simple.
The only thing about Martha is that she think's she is the Queen of being the domestic type. The truth is that their are alot of people out there that can cook and do alot of things just like Martha some even better. The difference is that they didn't have to make a living doing it. If truth be known there are some people out there in this big world that could teach Martha a thing ot two about being a homemaker that would make her look like a woman just starting out..

The situation with Rachel ray is that she's too humble, I think she needs to think of herself as a unique person. She succeeded in a business of chefs and experts in teaching recipes in television without wanting to be at that level.
Yeah, but the question is, "Which one would you invite to your holiday get-together, Martha or Rachael??'
I would love to have Rachael stop by–no stress, no intimidation, and infinitely more fun. I could relax and enjoy myself. (As long as she doesn't bring that lame-ass husband with her.)

i LOVE Rachel. Every single one of her recipes that I've made has come out fantastic.
