      Most likely, he wouldn't have held that ball anyway. The distance of these penalty shots is so short and those balls fly so fast, the only chance the goalie has at catching it is to pick a corner to jump into before the player even kicks the ball. Chances are pretty much 50/50, that's why oftentimes you'll see the player kick the ball into the top left corner and the goalie jump into the right corner. I'd say about 80% of these penalty shots are a guaranteed goal… unless the player fucks up or the goalie is REALLY good!
      So, maybe it was a strategy. He did cover a larger area when he did those cartwheels lol

      Pee-Rez, you are a total unathletic moron. It was obviously a penalty kick, a situation in which the goalie loses the majority of the time. The goalie made a play on the ball, he just guessed wrong. Even the greatest golies in the world (Cech, Buffon, Caesar) have all been beaten on penalty kicks. His psych-out was ridiculous, but he still attemped to defend the shot. Your assertation about him being "too interested in his cartwheels than to block the incoming ball" was ignorant. Run around the pitch sometime, Fattie!!!
