ABC Gets BIG Ratings For Janet Jackson Interview

We're sure everyone was curious about what she had to say about Michael!

Janet Jackson's interview for In The Spotlight with Robin Roberts on ABC Wednesdaynight had the second highest ratings in the 10 p.m. time slot, falling just behind CSI: New York.

Over 6.7 million homes tuned in to the interview!

We think Janet came off very sweet and sincere.

      Nothing against Janet but I would hardly call 6.7 million viewers BIG ratings. Now had it been 16.7 million viewers that would of been BIG.

      Boo hoo, it wasn't Michael's fault that he was a drug addicted freak! He wasn't aware of himself, blah blah bullshit. She is a nice, classy lady but they can't go blaming the Doc solely. Michael loved it and payed (for some) of it.

      It was SO good to hear from HER mouth about HER life. Robin did an outstanding job of asking the questions we would and did it all with such graciousness, never stepping on toes or digging beyond what Janet clearly did not want to divulge. Just an excellent job and Robin is one to watch. I was impressed with both of these women.

      I love Janet and was very appreciative that she spoke about Michael since it's her brother and therfore none of our business how she is coping with his death…She is a very brave, sincere, beautiful, and loving individual who deserves every success and happiness life brings her…I am sure her giref over the loss of Michael is still pretty fresh, but in time, I pray that her sadness is replaced with happiness in the fun times and loved that they shared.

      Janet is the nice, almost sane Jackson. She is an über powerful woman, a force to be reconned with, but insists on talking in a cartoon voice whisper, as did MJ, and as does Paris Hilton. Makes me want to smack them in the chops.

      Janet said Michael is no longer. No longer where? No longer what? Alive? Here in the US? What exactly? Roberts either didn't pick up on it or she decided to move on.
      Janet's comment on her smiling and laughing. How VERY odd. Why comment at all unless you are uncomfortable OR hiding something.
      As far as the picture of Michael and son, I believe that was put there purposely. It's a picture that's all over the net. Nothing new.
      Sorry folks but far too many pieces to MJ that just don't add up. I call BS on it all!

      I watched it, and can tell she is still very much in denial about his death, which is totally normal. I understand why her and her Mom cannot watch the "This Is It" film. I wish her peace, and happiness. It is going to take a LONGGGGGGG time to deal with MJ's death. When someone that close to you dies, you never "get over it"….you just have to learn to live with it.
      I felt really sad when I heard her talk about expecting the phone to ring.

      When she talked about leaving Joseph's management, and moved away, I really think she is the smartest one in the whole bunch!!!
      I can still tell she wants to keep the peace with Joseph.
      I really laughed when she impersonated Latoya and the weight issue…

      I think Janet is a lot smarter and stronger than she gives herself credit for.
      I Love her music, and I really like her.
      It's going to take some time for Janet, she was the closest to MJ.
      I think she needs to see a grief counselor. It really helps to put everything in perspective when you are trying to deal with such a huge loss.
      It also helps you know that you are not alone.

      Honestly, she seems like a huge sweetheart but I couldn't help wondering what SHE was on. She acted extremely lethargic and sedated. I know she's "shy" but this was like nothing I've ever seen. I hope she doesn't follow in the footsteps of her brother…

      she seems very classy. and a very nice person. the interview–i thought went well. hard to believe someone like that gets depressed. we look at her and think she's got it all–looks, talent, money etc. she is very pretty with beautiful skin. wonder what happened with her and her xboyfriend?? i mean she thinks the world of him–which is unusual for an x. i just didn't care for her idea of joseph's abuse as "old school". and i'm surprised she commented on that because now it seems like michael was delusional about joe. and i really don't think he was. joe even LOOKS like an abuser.       It was very interesting being that her and MJ were the closest of all the siblings. I think Janet was sincere, she answered from the heart and is always gracious.
