Ricky Martin Raising $$$$ For Youth Center!
Ricky Martin is partnering with German broadcaster, RTL, on a telecast this Thursday and Friday to raise money for a youth center in Puerto Rico.
"The idea is to build a centre, a safe haven for children that are at risk of exploitation, which is the main mission of my foundation," said the singer of the philanthropic Ricky Martin Foundation.
The center will accommodate 150 children and offer activities such as art classes, meditation, martial arts and yoga. It will ideally be up and running next year!
"It's just to show them another aspect of life they don't know because of the way that they live," continued Martin, adding that the town has a 50% school dropout rate. "We need to show them the beauty of having a dignified life."
