First it was Miley Cyrus who spoke out about her jealousy dislike for the Twilight flicks, stating she's not a fan and doesn't like vampires or werewolves.
You know, cuz vampires and wolves are so far fetched from fairies right Miley? You know about fairies, right? Like the fairy movie you signed up to do this past summer based on the novel Wings.
Just sayin'.
But now it's cutie Selena Gomez who's bashing the Twilight franchise.
During an interview on Bonnie Hunt's show, Selena admits, “I don’t watch them. Sorry, I feel bad … even though I am a teenager.”
This couldn't have something to do with the fact that her ex-boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, is in the flick, could it?
We're guessing not, since when asked if she was Team Edward or Team Jacob, she chose Jacob.
Oh, and in case you didn't know, Selena stars on the hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place. You know, the one about witches which guest stars some vampires.
But either way, what is it with the Disney stars hating on Twilight?

It doesn't mean they're jealous if they hate Twilight; it means they have a brain and aren't ruled by their hormones
And btw, Kristen and Rob have both bashed Twilight in interviews; they don't do it anymore because they got told off by the publicists

Agree with the Buffy thing. If these teens had grown up with her, they'd see how pathetic, corny and sexist Twilight is (I laughed out loud at some of the lines in the movie- it sounds even worse when spoken out loud). When I was a teenager we had kick arse role models like Buffy, Xena and Max from 'Dark Angel'. Who do kids these days aspire to be like? A whiny bint with a borderline personality disorder, who can't live without a man who shows worrying signs of an abusive partner (yes, I've read the books). What Bella and Edward have isn't love; it's an unhealthy obssession. Shame girls might think it's normal for a boy to act like that.

First: So, maybe they just read on higher than a fifth grade reading level? Or enjoy films where the "supporting" roles don't have to prop up the leads? Twilight was absolute maneur. SERIOUSLY. I know that they are supposed to be awkward but the awkward was in Kristen Steward and Rob Pattison, not in Edward and Bella.
Second: Vampires and witches are completely different things, there are magical worlds created that don't have the both… Anne Bishop has a series based on craft but has absolutely NO vampires.
Apply to fairies.
Third: Selena is adorable, she's smart, and she seems to be one of the only Disney stars not looking to be a complete hot mess… so, leave her be. She was being honest, which she obviously was a little nervous to do because she knows that 90% of her fan base is obbsessed with "Edward Cullen".

I think the books were well written. I honestly couldn't put them down, but I think the kids they cast as the main characters need some serious acting lessons. They are terrible actors!!
