Is Dustin Hoffman A Focker No More?

wenn2640102dh.jpg

Ben Stiller and the gang have begun filming the third installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, Little Fockers, but rumor has it that Dustin Hoffman won't be reprising his role as Bernie Focker!

Supposedly, Hoffman was going to make a cameo at the end of the film, but it appears he may have pulled out due to scheduling conflicts or because the part wasn't big enough for him!

Diva!

As for Barbra Streisand, she's still playing a big role in the film as Ben Stiller's mother.

We'll just have to wait and see if Dustin and Universal can come to some sort of agreement or it looks like Roz Focker will be going grandma alone!

Major Diva! Love his acting and have since Midnight Cowboy. One of the best movies ever, but the dude has become a total age crazed diva.

"due to scheduling conflicts OR because the part wasn't big enough for him"
Since you clearly don't know, how can you call him diva?
      Maybe the script was bad?
Dustin Hoffman is still one of the best actors in Hollywood.

      the last movie sucked!

He won't be missed. He was shit in meet the Fockers. Now Streisand would be missed

I can't believe they're milking this for another one. How soon until Meet the Fockers Again! Part 7?

    14. 14

I was lucky enough to meet Mr Hoffman last year, and I can say he was one of the nicest people I have ever met in the industry.
There is NO WAY he turned away the part for being "too small".
I call bullshit on this story.

A third installment? Don't. The second was pretty pathetic.

Talkaboutcher under utilized talent. Dustin Hoffman's at a nice stage where he can pop in for character roles and funny bits.

    17. 17

Oh I hope he's able to work something out!!! I was wondering if him & Barbara would be in the movie at all.

    18. 18

I would only see these movies if Streisand is in them.

    19. 19

He will be missed in that movie! He was a big part of why "Meet The Fockers: was so funny!

Advance gossip about this movie is that the best part of it is the title. Lots of battles going on, and Stiller is determined to be silly rather than funny. In fact, he stopped being funny long ago, wandering around the creepy museum like one of the obsolte dinosaurs. Hope Streisand manages to overcome the big fockers behind this movie.

I love the Focker franchise! He was funny as hell!!

As a movie, I didn't think MEET THE FOCKERS was all that great of one, but I loved Babs in it. I'm actually surprised she's on board for the next film, if this is all true. For Hoffman, great actor, but I can't say I wouldn't watch the next one if he wasn't in it.

    23. 23

Wow - that's weird, he had such a key and bigger role in the last one. It doesn't make much sense but then I guess they could it explain it as the Fockers are divorced or something? Maybe Roz turns into a cougar in this one??

    24. 24

You can't do a Focker movie without Hoffman. He stole the first two.

Now I know I won't waste my time or money.

Stiller has grown so full of himself, and what an ego! He just isn't funny anymore.

    25. 25

Noooooo! I love the last movie, he has to come back!
