Entourage Star Victim Of Gay And Racial Jokes At Work!

That shiz is NOT right!
Rex Lee, who plays Lloyd on HBO's Entourage, admitted that members of the crew "occasionally" makes jokes at his expense, specifically about his race and sexuality!
They should be ashamed of themselves!
Lee said that he tries not to let it bother him, but Entourage creator Doug Ellin found out about the jokes and he won't tolerate that kind of behavior!
Ellin has spoken with Lee and told him that if it ever happens again the person making the joke will NOT be laughing since their ass will be fired!
That kind of behavior at a person's place of work — or anywhere as a matter of fact — is completely unacceptable!
Good on Ellin for setting his employees straight!

Yeah, I can see them firing Jeremy Piven or Adrian Grenier if they make gay or Asian jokes. Many of the Entourage cast members have been accused of sexual harrasment by female guest stars and Ellin seems to have responded in many of the cases of firing the actress for making a deal about it. What makes you think that Ellin will back up his words if one of the offenders in this case is one of his five leads?

Ellin needed to do more. Rex Lee is one person. Ellin is IN CHARGE. Lee isn't the person who needs to be reporting other people. The crew for a movie or a TV program can really mess you up in a million different ways if they are out to get you. If Lee "reports" anyone, it will cause backlash with the entire crew. No wonder he didn't complain or say something. A crew can intimidate an actor. It's up to Ellin to call the crew together and to make an announcement. Give it to them clear and tough. They'll be fired if he even THINKS they are engaged in any kind of harrassment. Then the actors can concentrate on their job and not have that kind of nonsense hanging over their head while they are trying to work. The economy is bad out here. Ellin can find other crew members. He can't find another Lloyd.

Maybe the writer's should stop making gay and Asian jokes about the guy for the show. They are the ones that are making it look like it's okay to make the jokes in the first place. I know that the crew are supposed to be adults and not follow the lead of the show they are working on but I imagine that the line gets blurred quite a bit.

Racial humor is great on t.v. or at a comedy show, but I don't want to hear it at work especially by people who probably secretly mean what they say.
umm my dad is the Prop Master for Entourage and this is definitely NOT TRUE!! I have been on the set at least 20 times and worked on the show as well…and I have NEVER heard any racial or demeaning comments…they are a very close knit family. The crew is fantastic and everyone feels very close. Don't believe everything you hear, Perez….
