The Twi-hards are in full effect this weekend!
Friday's opening of New Moon earned $72.7 million dollars at the box office, making it the film with the highest grossing single day sales ever!!!
Although are any of you really that surprised?????
The new Twilight flick is expected to pull in $125 million over the weekend, which will place it at #4 on the list of the top-grossing opening weekend films, falling short behind 2008's The Dark Knight ($158.4 million), 2007's Spider-Man 3 ($151 million) and 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ($135.6 million).

I can't til a couple years from now when people will go back to being like "twilight? Huh? Oh I GUESS I remember it… Hmm.. Whatever!!"
I too was duped into thinking this was a film with REAL actors. I felt so bad for the poor acting in this film (worse than general hospital). In fact, I spent most of the time laughing (at the cheesiness of it all, and then at myself for dropping 10.00 + 10.50 on popcorn).

BE AWARE, I WENT TO SEE PRECIOUS TONIGHT, AND BOUGHT 8 TICKETS TO THE 5:50 PM SCREENING, THEY GAVE US 8 TICKETS FOR TWILIGHT, AND WOULD NOT REIMBURSE US FOR THE CORRECT MOVIE, THEY JUST USHERED US INTO THE PRECIOUS MOVIE, TO KEEP SILENT!!!! New Moon was AMAZING. the only thing that sucked was the hour wait in line with screaming freaking teenage girls saying omg omg he is going to take off his shirt like WTF….. but overall loved the movie

I went to see this movie and i'm sorry but it sucks! i didn't like it at all.. too much talking.. the volturi people are only in the movie for 5 minutes that's it? most good parts of the movie are the trailers that were released so it's not worth going to see the movie just wait until the dvd comes out or download it from the internet! ha!

If it is not your type of movie, stay the hell out of it! Bottom line you have to read the books to really understand the emotions of these movies. If you haven't read the books, then you have no idea what its all about, so you really shouldn't be saying how "horrible" the acting is. Stewart and Pattinson nail the characters of Bella and Edward, if you read the book you would know. It is FANTASY, and completely original and fresh. I saw New Moon twice this weekend and will see it again and again. I believe the sales will be more than they are predicting.

twilight was a god movie but the director was wack…. so new moon WAS going to have to be much better for me to go see it…… it was a very well writtte movie and a great job by the director…… but i hated the ending how do you just leave off like that??? Haters are gonna hate, but I don't give a fuck. Major props go to us Twilight fans for making our movie #1. I was one of the ones that saw it at midnight and it was freaking amazing. I'm not a screaming teen fan, Im a 25 year old teacher who is a rabid fan of both the Twilight movies and the books.

New Moon was ok. It was missing something. There was nothing to connect the events in the storyline, which made it kind of awkward. Twilight was done way better.

I saw the movie on Thursday (in Mexico) and it was awesome! I really liked it! I was sort of expecting it to be a little disappointing as the first one, but I was surprised! I was really good! Congrats to the casting and for the fans… it was great!!

I was at the first local showing and the whole audience was 16 year old girls. It was so funny to hear them squeal over Jacob's body. It was very entertaining, I thought.

the movies was great i watched it at the midnight premier and the new director did a wayy better job than the last he included everything, unlike that last chick. i didnt realy like the first movie it was a dissapointment to all who read the books so two thumbs up on this one (:

just got back from seeing New Moon…as with the book it was a waste of time and money. Stephenie Meyer could have written the contents of New Moon into the first 3 chapters of Eclipse. I thought it was a joke…but my 9 year old daughter liked it so I guess it wasn't a total wash.
Okay I saw the movie and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I think there are a lot of haters on this post. It was a great movie. My husband is a huge non conformist and he even enjoyed the damn movie! I still like the first one better but I think the movie will continue to sell! I want to see it again.

Hello..what the hell is wrong with some of you people.
New Moon is not Shakespeare or Shindler's List OK., so why make comments like the film is suppose to be Academy award material. It's simply a love story that speaks specifically to women and girls ..got that. It's about a guy, who happens to be playing the part of a vampire, and his undying love for his girl, which all women love and wish still existed! IMO that's why the books are so popular and continue you to sell!
It's not about the vampires! And please… movies like Transformers, Drag me to Hell are really deep intellectual movies?..Yah right! There primarily for men and little boys who like to be entertained by explosions and girls screaming.
There shoot him up-big explosions movies with no plot whatsoever, with girls tits hanging out all over the place for the benefit of the guys!
