Adam Lambert's sexually-charged performance of his latest single, For Your Entertainment, at the American Music Awards featured the American Idol alum simulating oral sex with a male dancer, making out with one of the band members and plenty of crotch grabbing so naturally he's the subject of controversy.
Glambert's response?
"You know honestly, if I offended some people… it's apples and oranges. I'm not an artist that does things for every single person. I believe in artistic freedom and expression, I believe in honoring the lyrics of a song, and those lyrics aren't really for everybody either."
Adam's performance was edited for the west coast feed and the budding pop star was none too pleased about it!
"There's a big double standard, female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I'm a male, and I'll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem.
"People are scared and it's really sad, I just wish people could open their minds up and enjoy things, it's all for a laugh, it's really not that big of a deal."

This has nothing to do with Adam being a male or gay. His performance was far too sexually charged by the standards held for men and women. The AMA's are watched by family's, including mine, and watching adam pretend to get his dick sucked in fron of millions of viewers was disgusting.
You can't just throw yourself out there as a gay male and go around putting men in sexually, scantily-clad clothing and putting them on their knees while you hole the leash attached to their necks, then makeout with a band member, grab a woman's crotch, and not-so-descreetly insinuate sex throughout your first performance. I am a lesbian myself and I came out to a world that is not the most accepting (aside from friends and family). He cannot just expect to be accepted and embraced by the country when he is putting moves into his performance that need to be saved for the bedroom. Just like coming out privately, he needs to bring the heat slowly. George Michael and Elton John are incredible gay artists that never bring provocative moves like that into a performance.
As far as Adam not apologizing, I think it's rediculous. Your performance was offensive and appauling. Be gay, be a wonderful singer and entertainer, but DONT make me watch something like that when I expect to see an artist…thats what internet porn is for.
I went to WalMart this morning. They had an endcap with ten rows of Susan Boyle's CD and ten rows of that American Idol runner up's CD. When I went back this afternoon there were only three copies left of Susan's (so I grabbed one) but not a single copy sold of that other CD. Hahaha!

who gives a f*** about shocking?!?! i, frankly, was not shocked. i've seen his zodiac stuff. this was probably tame for adam. once again, the focus gets taken off of what's important. he had so much potential on AI but this song sucks and so did his performance. he shoulda lip synced like everyone else these days. i had such high hopes for him. was a huge huge fanatic every week but this performance and his new CD are total letdowns. and i'm not afraid to say it like some other ass-kissers. i think he is trying to hard. or else we were all duped into thinking he was going to be the second-coming and the joke is on us.
I LOVED Adam Lambert's performance. What people don't realize is how tough it is to get into this business and Adam wanted to make a statement, just listen to the lyrics people! "do you know what you got into? Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do? ‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you. I’m here for your entertainment" He basically said in the song he's going to do something crazy, can you handle it? if you didn't already guess something crazy was going to happen when you saw the dancers, wow. I 100% SUPPORT ADAM LAMBERT. I was entertained, I got his message and I loved it. People who say they're offended? What about Britney and Madonna's kiss? I could say I'm offended by Eminem's songs because of the bad comments towards women, calling them bitches and hoes. I could say I'm offended by Obama just because he's black! (not that I am it's just an example) but it's really not that big of a deal. It was a great performance, both his voice and visibly. He's very talented and people shouldn't discriminate against him just because he's gay and wanted to go all out for his performance.
I am a huge Adam Lambert fan and as liberal as they come but his performance last night was downright rude, crude and raunchy to the point that I was uncomfortable watching it. I kind of feel duped that he obviously did not put this side of him out there on Idol.

I just saw him on extra. No regret no apology. I felt so embarrassed for him when I saw it. It was horrible. I don't mind the sexy stuff (for cable or late night) but the singing was awful.
