Katherine Heigl attended a party at her parents' house in Los Feliz over the weekend and showed off baby Naleigh!

The party was celebrating Katherine's sister's new baby.

Looks like little Naleigh will have a new playmate!

I really hope she's not just following the latest Hollywood trend about adopting babies as accessories. I might be wrong, though, so I'm not gonna point fingers. I heard she adopted a Korean baby, because she also has a Korean sister. But why did she choose a special needs kid? I'm just curious.

I think its pretty big-hearted of her to adopt a special needs kid - they'd be the last ones ever picked in an orphanage.

Although, what are these 'special needs' anyway? She's obviously not severely handicapped in any way.

Re: The Rush In Her Head – Apparently even adopting abroad is a long, tedious and paperwork-heavy process. And kids labeled as "special needs" are not in such "high demand", hence the processing time is a lot shorter! I don't know what the deal is with little Naleigh but it doesn't seem to be a big one.
