Hannah Montana Star Flees The Mouse For Broadway

This is one way to be taken seriously as an actor. Of course, not gallivanting around like an asshole is another way.

Disney Channel cutie Cody Linley has just signed on to star in the new Broadway show Over Here!. The musical isn't slated to open until next year, but Cody was forced to chose between the production and a new Disney Channel movie called Starstruck.

He choose the Great White Way.

His rep explained: "The start dates on both kept shifting and Over Here! was contractually in first position, so he had to give up Starstruck."

Hope you are okay with that burnt bridge, Cody. Once you turn your back on the Mouse, you can't go back!

Advice you should also take heed to, Miley Cyrus!

      good luck to him.
maybe he doesn't want to be branded as a tween star.

Hey Perez - Over Here is *not* a new show. It originally appeared on Broadway over 40 years ago and was a vehicle for the two remaining Andrews Sisters. It's also rumored that Dick Van Dyke will star.
