MTV just loves drama - no matter what the nationality!!!
UNICO National, an Italian-American organization based in New Jersey, is fuming over the network's newest reality debacle, Jersey Shore.
MTV claims the show captures the "hottest, tannest, craziest Guidos" who "keep their hair high, their muscles juiced and their fists pumping all summer long!"
Love it!
The organization believes the show is offensive and relies on crude stereotypes which highlight cursing, bad behavior and violence among guests at the beach house.
UNICO President Andre DiMino calls the show "trash television."
It wouldn't be the first for MTV! Maybe he hasn't seen The Hills!!!

I don't know why they are getting so excited about the new show on MTV. As a child to teen to an adult I spent every summer down at the Jersey Shore until I moved to Fl. and that is just how it is at the Jersey Shore. Go there next summer and you can see for yourself.
I can't wait to watch this! It's clear that these people aren't FROM Jersey Shore, they just rent a house there in the summer, that's what the show is about.
They need to get a sense of humor. I'm half italian and some stereotypes are true. I can get sweaty and LOVE me some lasagna. Proud of being a guido! LOL.
Yes, I'm from North Jersey, and those are totally North Jersey "bennie" guidos, no doubt. But NOT all North Jersey Italians are like that either. I've known lots of perfectly nice, reasonable Italian guys who grew up in Bergen County, thank you very much. They aren't all guidos! But yes, those guys totally are, and I promise you they're probably from Lodi or something like that. LOL

My mom took me to Shipbottom in LBI every year when I was a kid for a week and I'd jump on the trampolines before they got shut down for lack of insurance. It was such a beautiful, quiet beach to spend a vacation on, and I wish I knew somewhere half as nice to take my kids to down here in Florida.

Oh God. I've lived in jersey my whole life, and my parents had a summer house in Ortley Beach (closer to Lavalette than Seaside, for Jersey shore people who know). I avoided that whole trashy beach club scene, so I never saw anyone like these morons. They come from Staten Island and north Jersey, rent trashed houses in Seaside or Belmar for the week, and clog up Route 9 north on Sunday nights in the summer. If you want to see the REAL shore, go on the off season. Just don't watch this atrocity!

I watched 2 minutes of the first episode and was sooo pissed off, I've lived in Howell in NJ for my whole life I'm like 15 mins from many beaches, Pt. Pleasant and Sea Side, Manasquan, Avon, Bradley, Spring Lake etc. And this show pisses me off royally…I wouldn't of been too mad if they called the show something other than "Jersey Shore" cuz these ppl are not from the shore, ppl here dont call it the shore even, ive called it the beach lol. Its sad that bennys from up north come down here like the beaches here are like ehh, I didnt even step foot on the beaches here last year, its sad that our LIFE is their VACATION lmao. so sad. I remember a few years ago i went to belmar beach and their was guidos that rented the shittest bungalow you can get drinkin at like 9 am and screamin "we run this place" omg if you lived by the shore you would understand our anger.
