After his performance on Good Morning America tomorrow was abruptly canceled by ABC after his controversial performance at the AMAs, Adam Lambert was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on the ordeal.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On the AMAs performance:
"It's choreography, we were dancing. The sexuality of it kind of got a little more extreme when I got up on stage. I think the adrenaline kind of took me over, and I admit it, and i'm proud of the fact that I did get a little carried away. It's just the fact that I'm me and it's a little different for people. It's really not that big of a deal. I'm not a babysitter, I'm a performer."

On the double standard for male and female performers:
"I don't feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. I do think there's a slight double standard. We've seen female pop performers doing extremely sexual routines for years and all of the sudden a guy does it and it's crazy."

On the cancellation of his GMA concert:

"Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It's too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me. They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren't happy about it. I respect their decision - I don't necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do."

Spoken like a real class act!

We're looking forward to seeing Glambert tomorrow on The Early Show, which booked Adam after GMA cancelled!

GMA is such a morning sleeper show anyway and it's a compliment to Adam they cancelled on him. He's got better fish to fry than GMA!!!

You're a disgusting degerate Lambert. That's why they cancelled your GMA gig. Serves you right, now shut up. You too Perez.

Of course he's trying to be "classy" if that's what you want to call it - his career is barely off the ground and he can't afford to alienate a major network. I'm a very open minded individual with gay & lesbian friends. That being said, in my opinion it was more offensive than entertaining. It was NOT late night television, it was prime time and heavily advertised. I'm just glad I wasn't watching it with a 10 year old and now I'm stuck trying to explain what just happened. Perez seems to think that if you dare to disagree or take any sort of stand against ANYTHING someone gay does then you get slapped with the homophobe stick. Narrow minded much?

OMG this dude seriously needs to get over himself!!!

Re: Paris France – hahahahahahahahahaha…. Now who really needs to chill huh? You are right in that it WAS your opinion and mine off of it. Like you said….no likey, no ready. hahahahahahaha……… MWAH!

Re: PatM – Beautifully and well said. I for one would LOVE to hear his response to that one. Something tells me it would begin with..ummmmm…..silence.

Re: Gene Landis – hahahahaha…who the fuck is Adam Campbell??? Trying to stand up for an artist you can't even get the name right on? Priceless! hahahahahahahahahahahaha…

What makes him think there would have been alot of fans there to see him? What did he have 50 fans on CBS this morning? He knew better when he was on AI. But I guess he must have been babysitting then… ya know b/c kids are the ones that voted for him? Perez, hate to say it but if he was straight you would not be defending him. A real class act? Are you fucking kidding me? Who does that? Did he forget he was on stage? On national T.V.? Really? The whole thing was planned. It worked b/c I am one of the assholes sitting here typing about it. The whole thing was horrific and I hope it ruins his carreer. He's not very talented anyway as you can tell by his vocal. OK I'm done now

    "I'm not a babysitter, I'm a performer." Okay, LOL! Thats funny! =D

Class acts don't snorkel on stage… no matter the gender. That said… tasteless acts are entertaining, too.

    Who gives a shit…???

Ok. I can agree with the do ur own thing and be u while performing, but be respectful to ur audience. no one finds parading around being sexually ina proparite gratifying.. U might get caught up in the hype of ur performance but thats no excuse. Gay controvery is always a touchy topic so why fuel the fire

Not only is Adam talented, but very intelligent as well. I loved his performance at the AMAs. It pushed boundaries for some people. In order to have acceptance, people need to discuss homosexuality openly and if it means to use such a medium (Adam's performance) than it's better than nothing. I highly suspect that Adam's purpose was just to entertain us. But social issues got in the way beccause some people are either way too sensitive or homophobic. Learn to love everyone people even if they seem different than you because at the end of the day, we are all alike in many forms.
