So sad.

Lead singer Haydain Neale of Toronto-based R&B group Jacksoul passed away on Sunday after a seven-month long battle with lung cancer.

Neale was only 39 years old.

Fans are welcome to send messages and memories to his family at haydainnealefamily@gmail.com.

A new Jacksoul album featuring Neale is being released on December 1 and all proceeds will go to the Haydain Neale family trust.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

      I've never heard of him or the band, but that name is kinda fantastic, so maybe I'll look them up soon.

      In relation to the topic, so sad to hear talented people taken away so soon.

      Haydain was an amazing artist, a great teacher and a great person. So unfair that he had to suffer to much. First the accident in Aug 07 and now this.

      If everyone could go to youtube and type in "Jacksoul" I would appreciate it. His voice has to be heard to be believed!

      so sad we had to lose him… Canadians loved him and his music - he was always a staple at Canadian events and he was proud of where he came from and now his beautiful voice will be heard in the heavens.

      We lost a very talented artist and his career was just taking off before his accident. The cancer seemed to come out of nowhere. Very sad!

      The poor man…RIP….You are never too young for cancer. My sister passed away at age 29. I wonder if this man SMOKED CIGARETTES? DON"T SMOKE!!!"The cancer seemed to come out of nowhere." DUH!!! Lung cancer can kill quickly!!

      Thank you for reporting this. I am really sad that he is now gone and won't be writing anymore music. I never got the chance to see him perform, but I really enjoyed his music. I know some people who know his daughter. It is just very tragic that he succomed to lung cancer after surviving a serious car accident.
