The Gosselin Finale: The Heartache and Heartburn!
It was an end of an era for the Gosselin brood, as the cameras have finally turned off from the show that made them relevant.
Last night, TLC aired the final episode of Jon and Kate Plus Eight.
There was nothing terribly special about it. As assumed, Jon and Kate Gosselin had zero screen time together, and in the final moments of the show, the pair reflected on their lives, their children, and their marriage. You know, the same crap they have been spewing out to the media for the last year.
Jon confesses that he knows his actions the last year were a result of "reverting to 23," essentially taking too much advantage of his bachelorhood. He admits he looks forward to being "friends" with Kate one day and continuing his "relationship" with Homewrecking Hailey Glassman.
As for Kate, we as an audience know her journey maybe far from over with TLC, but as for her connection to Jon, she would only talk about him in terms of the children. She reveals she has managed to keep them in the dark about his douchey exploits and will continue to do so, as he is still their father.
She says:
"They love him and they need to see him . . . It is what it is. He's still their dad and I will never discourage them from being with him."
At the show's conclusion, fighting back tears, Kate thanks her supporters and the fans for all the love in the last five years. In her final moments, she calls Jon the end of the show "useless, pointless, totally avoidable."
And thus the show is over.
But we have a feeling Gosselin mania is far from it!

I surfed over TLC and caught a second of it - I loved how Jon and the kids made Kate a Mother's Day breakfast, and she had one of the kids take the first bite. Nice way to check for poison, Kate!
Sorry, Perez, I have to disagree. I think we are in minute 11 of the 15 minutes of fame for the Gosselins.
The only thing Kate is pissed off about it that the cameras will be soon off her and she'll have to figure out how to support these kids. Jon will just be a douche. ~yawn~ Glad they are gone.

Kate can never ever be friends with anybody who challanged her. She has no family left, no friends left, all her relatives side with Jon. She admitted when pressed by PEOPLE magazine that she mistreated Jon. And her abusive behavior is onscreen for all to see. She is truly a nutcase and I feel very very sorry for those children. It's a shame nobody gave her a psycho test before they allowed her to purchase fame by paying a doctor to implant way too many eggs.
Oh also, you keep saying that TLC has a case against Jon. Well it looks like his suit shut down the show.
We will hear about Jon again when he's busted for a DUI or worse……
Kate will get better hair.
Their kids will grow up. One will go to prison. A couple will be hookers. One (or more) will beat their kids…
All will be divorced eventually……
I felt he really lacked class and thoughtfulness by bringing up Hailey on their family's show. The kids will alll watch this one day & I am sure they will not appreciate their dad's little girlfriend being brought up. She had absolutely nothing to do with the show & they will be broken up very soon anyway.

I applaud TLC for finally cancelling in my opionion this totally idiotic show! these children have been exploited enough and I never want to hear about these 2 again who cares what they are arguing about or what the airhead girlfriend has to say !
I saw the show last night. sad its over. I've watched it since the beginning. Now was it just me or did JON look like he was flying HIGH on something. wow, he really needs to get it together. I always thought he was a terrible dad to those poor kids.
Re: seesaw – I agree. What was he thinking to have that bit recorded about Hailey for his children to hear over and over forever. He is a moron. On a better note, TLC should offer Kate a postition at the corporation off camera to make up for this bad experiment in reality tv. She has seen where it warped, so maybe consultant to any other reality show they dally with.

Re: marmed – I TOTALLY AGREE!! Especially in the beginning of the show when he was trying to explain his doucheness. He totally seemed high. Not at all his normal way of speaking. I think he'd get this picture that people think he's a tool when he obviously could only pull in about $30 for his "fundraiser." Also ironic that he said that the paparazzi is unavoidable. Um . . . no one followed any of them until he started screwing around with everything that walked upright.

I am not a fan of either, however I think Kate is definitely handling this situation much better than Jon. He is a selfish prick. I felt bad for him when Kate was a complete bitch to him, but after the comment of he lives in NYC and travel's to work which is 3 hours away. WTF. These are his kids, these children are his responsibility too. I was not surprised to see hear that Kate gets physical custody, because he does not want to be a dad. LOSER
I am so glad this show is over! The Gosselins have been taking up valuable gossip space on the tabloids and could've been better spent finding out dirt on someone who is flying under the radar due to tabloids obsession with these two morons. Like take a good look at Eva Mendez she has lost a dramatic amount of weight and looks like a different person from last year. Like go report on that.
She treated the guy like shit for years, he obviously had a break down. You can only take so much abuse even verbal abuse. Then to have a world wide audience see you get your balls handed to you by your wife every episode. I dont think its right but I cant blame the guy for getting the hell out. Now that the cameras are off I think the dirt on her will come out.
Jon was a total asshole to his kids on this episode. He won't be winning any father of the year awards any time soon. I sad to see the show end, and I hope the children will grow up happy, healthy and safe.

There's simply a huge disparity in their levels of maturity. It's painfully obvious.
All Kate's wishful thinking couldn't overcome it. Jon may not grow up for a decade or two, but at least he seems to have a willing spirit; for Kate and the kids sake I hope this spirit is not just for the cameras.

What was really useless and pointless was subjecting your children to the daily interruption of being filmed and followed around for your own monetary gains. They should have never been on the show the same as these other people with their children being filmed. Its exploitive and it messes the kids up at the outset. I don't feel sorry for her or him. They created this madness…now you need to deal with it. Without TLC's $. Hahahahahaha!

The finale was sad for me in more ways than one. I still had a small ray of hope for some redemption of the sad boy Jon. It blew out with the most horrible way he treated the twins while making the signs. Saying something to whichever (Mady?) said she liked doing things with Mom better would have been fine. To send her off like a badly behaved dog was wrong in sooo many ways. To then make the other (Who BTW did nothing wrong to warrent) go inside and not be a part of the family thing is just horrible. I am not prone to wishing pain on others but this did just that.
What did she mean when she said the show was pointless, useless and totally avoidable? Did'nt quit get the jest of that statement. Did she mean she had no clue why they even had a last show or what?

Both parents were long ago brainwashed. TLC needs to take responsibilty for interferring with the lives of hicks.
Am I the only one to notice that Jon appeared totally cranked up on something? He has never talked so fast on any other episode and he was constantly licking his lips, etc. I think he popped a bunch of adderall before filming especially since he kept having all these strange epiphanies that made no sense especially when he was talking about how Hailey, Kate and his children all tied together. I feel so bad for those kids because they are so sweet and they are trapped in a sick and twisted world that will never be normal again even after the world has long forgotten the Gosselin mania.
I sooooo agree with SPINDOC, she was the one who pushed him away, the VERY few times that I caught wind of this pathetic show, I saw her bashing him and always critizing everything he did/said. People can only take so much before they snap. It is all her fault for his reaction and thank god this show is over!! Maybe i can get my monies worth with shows that are actually worth watching!! At one point that crazy woman mentioned that his "lemonade stand" was a publicity stunt, what the hell has she been doing with these kids since they were born?? Kate is NUTSS!!
