CBS Finally Speaks On Their Hypocrisy!
CBS has finally offered an explanation for Wednesday morning's double standard in which they blurred out Adam Lambert kissing another man yet aired Madge and Britney's kiss uncensored.
The statement from the CBS rep reads:
"We gave this some real thought. The Madonna image is very familiar and has appeared countless times including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated, and for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences."
That's the best they could come up with?????
It still doesn't excuse their blatant homophobia and sexism!

adam's performance was pornographic. i had high hopes for adam's career, but he is too creepy out there with his sexuality:
1. the kiss between adam and the guy was passionate, whereas britney and madonna's kiss was mechanical and passionless.
2. the bj with the other guy was disgusting — adam, please don't show us what you do in the privacy of your own home. you will never have a successful career if you continue to exhibit such a lack of self-control. your talent blew me away and i thought you might be the next michael jackson, but i am afraid that you are turning too many people off. use your brain!
The performance was lacking dignity. He got a big old chance to perform at an important televised music awards show and delivered what he delivered. Random kissing and the other acts weren't an expression of love or intimacy with someone he was in a real relationship with. It was in your face simulated stranger sex, unless he's actually seeing that guy, which is doubtful. Straight or gay, some people find this repugnant if it's just thrown around indiscriminately. For many people, sharing intimacy matters.
I think it's not that ABC is homophobic. More that they know that many of their fans could be offended, either because they're homophobic or they don't want their children to be watching something so sexual (not because it's HOMOsexual, just because it's sexual).
I think they shouldn't blur it, though. If anything should be blurred, it's the whole crotch-in-the-face thing.

The music video involved the S&M and chains and what not. Sooo…uhh…yeah. I mean, I googled/youtubed Madonna AMA's 1994, and nothing came up. But I googled/youtubed 1995 and all that came up was her performing Take A Bow. Then I googled her performing Human NAture at the AMA's and nothing came up, looks like it never happened.

Lots of kids are allowed to stay up for these things. I know I was always allowed to stay up as a child to watch music award shows so I could see my favorite artists perform. My cousins are usually allowed to as well. Most kids I know are allowed to. And a lot of people were dying to see Adam perform post-AI. His performance was disgusting. Like I have before, though. If he had done this on MTV, it would be one thing. But he did it on the AMA's, which has always had more classy performances than MTV. MTV lives on the drama and fights.
