Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba is having surgery today on her spinal cord!

Carrie Ann suffers from arthritis as well as pressure and stiffness in her neck.

The dancer explains:

“I have arthritis. The space around my spinal cord has become compressed. I have been locked. My neck was so stiff. We’re hoping this procedure will relieve that. I’ll be fine and if this surgery goes well, I may have another one in the future.”

She sounds confident and that's great!

Carrie Ann still plans to attend the Dizzy Feet Foundation's Celebration of Dance on November 29 as she is one of the founding members of the charity.

Here's to a successful procedure and a speedy recovery!

this is not spinal CORD surgery. it sounds like she has a stenosis - it's not that big of a deal. people have that surgery all the time.

I have the same problem in the same area, cervical spine compression and arthritis… physio and daily stretches are the best… yoga especially. The procedure she's getting is very risky and can cause more problems than she already has.
