Nude Photo Of Polanski And Tate To Be Auctioned Off

A nude photograph of the currently detained Roman Polanski and his late wife, Sharon Tate, will be sold at auction at Christie's in NYC on December 7th.
The photo, shot by David Bailey in 1969, was taken months before Tate's tragic murder.
"It's an important image," said Laura Paterson, vice president of Christie's auction house. "It certainly is provocative because of who the characters are. But it's also a touching naked shot of a happy couple. And Bailey does capture the anything goes flavor of that period."
Considering the circumstances, it's still pretty creepy!
Christie's believes that the photo may garner anywhere between $8,000 to $12,000, but it could go even high due to Polanski's recent stint in Swiss prison.

Not sure why anyone would want a nude photo with him in it. He is pretty gross. Sharron Tate was hot but that does not out weigh the fact that he is in the photo.

Your such an ASS Perez!!! there is absolutly nothing creepy about a picture OF A MAN AND WIFE in a loving pose. Lennon and Yoko One did it. It happens to be a beautiful shot and its a sad reminder of what was lost and taken away by a sick and twisted mind. But its not creepy. You however are getting more so every day now.

BREAKING NEWS: A swiss court has approved bail for Polanski, but will take 4.5 million dollars bail, he will be wearing an electronic monitoring device, and will be confined to "chalet arrest" at his Swiss chalet. This is not happening immediately and is still open to appeal by the Swiss govt.
The Swiss are a fierce fighting force, with balls, in defense of the Pope. Let's hope the Swiss govt. can show similar balls.

I am cause I read the court transcripts of the lil girl he raped,…her statement word by word,…he may not be convicted yet, but rest assured that he will be. She was a truly beautiful woman and a real victim. They weren't a happy couple. He was and is a pig who told her that he would be with other women and she had to accept it. She did because she loved him and even pregnant with his child, he loved his dick more. Rest in Peace Sharon and I hope you're soaked in True Love Always.

Everyone has a past that is true, but there is no need to take away from what was a beautiful portrait based on an incident that happened much later. Am I the only one thinking that as horrific as Sharon's death was, to have had a child with Roman Polanski who is on record stating more or less that ALL adult males want to Fuck children would have been a living nightmare for that child [they would have had together] to the equivalent of what Manson and his disciples did to her? Apparently that marriage was hitting the rocks by that time, so don't know what they mean by it being a pic of a "happy married couple". Polanski doesn't look happy in that pic.

I follow your blog and agree with what you stand for, but to comment that way on someone as legendary as Roman (who was wrongly accused by a child who later admitted to her lies and her mother's fight to cover her daughter's underage ass) and someone who has passed away. i sorta agree that the trauma for polanski of aurviving/losing his mother in the holocaust fallowed by the brutal murder of his wife and unborn child may have fucked him up slightly? I read that Sharon begged the manson murderers to abduct her and wait 2 weeks so her baby to be born and then for them to kill her. Polanski said that this incident shattered any faith in God he had completely i do feel for him slightly as everyone is a product of their environment, but i feel more for the poor 13 year old girl x
