DWTS Performer Goes Topless In New PETA Ad!

Joanna Krupa of the latest season of Dancing with the Stars poses topless with her pup Rugby in a new PETA ad promoting pet adoption.
Joanna says:
"We're trying to spread the word that breeding isn't the way to go. Somebody needs to put their foot down and stop this breeding and these puppy mills. … they're in these little tiny cages, and all they're doing is breeding their whole life. It makes me so angry that our government doesn't do anything about it. So I am!"
Good for Jo!

Maybe Glambert ought to do a guy-on-guy kiss for PETA! Anything to bring attention to the cause, I LOVE IT!
So….let me get this straight. Anyone buying a dog is guilty of supporting puppy mills? I think not.
Ten Hail Mary's …one Lord's Prayer….Ten Hail Mary's ..one Lord's Prayer… nice rosary.
I've seen how they treat those dogs in puppy mills. Tragic! Good for Krupa. It's nice to see that some people do care about important things.
Another PETA lie. Why doesn't someone shut them up?
what was the point of going topless for this? i dont get it
How awkward would it be to stand there with no top on, holding a dog to your boobs.
haha, whatever.
Re: Canadiana* – its about time you go topless…….♥
Go Donny Go………..
Re: Long Dong Connery –
… too cold. lol
Well she already showed it all for Playboy so who gives a crap? Did that layout fly under your radar, Perez ? Nice tits, BTW.
what adoption center is she going to that adopts out purebreed yorkies?
i smell a hypocrite…
where did she adopt a purebreed yorkie from? i bet she paid an adoption fee over $200 for it…the hypocracy….
Re: scooterrific – i know right wtf yorkies are more then $1,000. is peta serious??
and shes way to photoshopped!
I am so glad someone well-known is sticking up for this cause. It should be getting more attention.
BEAUTIFUL!!
.
Bravo, Joanna!!
Re: scooterrific –
About 25% of the dogs that end up in shelters are purebred.
.
All dogs are wonderful. It so does not matter what breed a dog is.
oh please that is not how all purebreds are bred. What a slutty liar.
yah….she saved that pup…come on! She is such a hypocrite…how do people miss that??? …come on Perez, call it out!
Ha, PETA wouldn't even want her holding that puppy, pet's are a no no… i'ma go eat some chicken. ummmmmm meat.
Brava, that's why i adopted my dog…
He's lovely and friendly… and he doesn t even need a lot of cures that, then you are supposed to do to your "amazing-pedigreed" dog…
they are stronger !
It makes me so happy when important causes like this are brought into the spot light. I volunteered at an animal shelter and yes, there are a lot of purebreeds, quite a few rescued from these puppy farms. You should always adopt from a shelter - don't encourage the breeders!!
I think it's an awesome message. I don't think anyone who buys a dog supports puppy mills, but my heart breaks over it, and I'll never buy a dog again…
My only question–wouldn't the message have come across a BIT stronger had they had her holding a mutt, rather than a yorkie…? Just a thought.
Meanwhile that's a purebred Yorkshire Terrier in her arms.
Whatever PETA.
Re: VeganVal – dont get me wrong, am an advocate for adoption as i have a family of adopted kitties and doggies, but i have never seen a yorkie. i've seen labs and big sized dogs, not the pocket sized dogs…i am willing to bet that she did not adopt that dog…celebrities normally dont adopt….they purchase from designer dog shops that get their dogs from puppy mills…
and while i am at it….are those feathers photoshopped? or are they REAL feathers?
She's pretty whoever she is (I didn't watch dwts). That dog is adorable! I've been wanting to get one but they're too expensive.
I agree that there was no need to go topless for this.
Like the message though, but Perez, you do realize your dog was bred right?
SHE IS AMAZING!!!!
So, I totally understand why they would be naked for the "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign, but why does she have to be naked in this add? True, it probably gets more press coverage, but PETA is really stupid, and I think that all they know how to do is sneak camera's into places, and taken pictures of naked women.
Re: Shelleybean – Actually that is true! Most if not all pet shops support puppy mills! You should only adopt dogs at shelters/pounds but getting your dog directly from a person is still better than buying from a pet shop.
wtf is with the rosary beads? poor choice of props. cutest puppy though!
I don't know if I am quite ready for the government to jump on this (although in that case local is the way to go), but I always encourage my friend to get their "animal companions" from shelters.
One thing about Ms. Krupa I hope she was kinder to her dance partner on DWTS than she was to Terrell Owens (a big fame whore himself) on the last summers Superstars (I believe I was the only one to watch that show). She was so rude to him it was incredible. Perhaps she is just very competitive.
Good for her? Perez, don't you have a hybrid dog? A dog that was only bred into existence within the last ten years? A designer breed, which you make fun of celebrities for getting? Having a special dog bred for you is another puppy you could have gotten from a shelter.
As for her not having a top, it is because it will get attention. The point of these ads is to draw attention… a pretty girl with no shirt is going to get more looks than if she had a shirt covering her.
To the person asking if the feathers are real, no. That's a complete Photoshop right there.
And to the person saying that dog would never be found in a shelter, wrong. I've seen more than one in there. With a lot of homes being foreclosed and the economy as it is, a lot of people are having to get rid of their dogs. Breeders won't take them back, so they go to no-kill shelters with them.
The THS is one the shadiest "charities" out there. Their head of fund raising gets a hefty six figure paycheque as well as has a healthy expense account.
Sure they have helped a great deal of animals but at what price and how many more could they have saved if they were not paying these HUGE paycheques to staff?
DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO THE TORONTO HUMANE SOCIETY SAVE IT AND GIVE IT TO A LOCAL SHELTER IN YOUR AREA OR BUY A BUNCH OF FOOD AND DROP IT OFF AT THE SHELTER, THAT WAY YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR MONEY IS GOING. OTHERWISE, AT LEAST 60% OF IT IS GOING TO PAY FOR SOMEONE'S NICE NEW CAR OR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY TRIP.
This chick will do anything for attention. She probably just got that dog so she could get the ad.
Jesus christ, I hate PETArds.
You go girl…love it.
.
.
Buy an animal from a pet store…..your supporting a puppy mill.
2 things:
1. She's gone topless/ full frontal for Playboy and random modeling jobs. So it's not as "shocking" as your headline makes it out to be.
2. Peta needs to hire a new photoshop editor. Her head to body ratio is way off. It looks as though her head isn't even connected to her body…
She's hot and has a great body - why all that photoshop in the first place?
Where did you get Teddy Hilton again?
Re: blslut666 –
ACTUALLY…
I know someone that works closely with the head man at the Toronto Humane Society. He spends ALL the money donated on the animals, every single penny. They get in debt because they have built new cages, given animals space, proper light/heat, clean their blankets, etc. They even got rid of a staff parking lot to make a grassy area for the dogs to run. The vollunteers (no one gets PAID there) striked because they WANTED to get paid, more hours, etc. And the president said if you dont like it, dont come here. I have SEEN his house, he gets a very small pay cheque. He spent thousands on keeping his dog alive when it was going to be put down.
So don't bash the Toronto society, despite what the press says. People get pissed because the president refuses to hand out the big cheques to the top guys.
Re: sarainadream –
DID YOU also know they kill 90 percent of the animals. FREAKING NINETY!
Another talentless wanna-be prostituting herself to the worlds most degenerate organization. PETATARD's are the lowest of filth. How many more puppies are the PETATARD's going to murder in they hypocritical grandstanding?
Be a man! Eat Meat! Yummy, juicy MEAT!
This is actually a good thing. People should know that there are a lot of pure-bred dogs in shelters. I've met people who bought puppies from breeders and then gave them to a shelter when they realized how much work a puppy can be. If you really love animals, (as pets) I would hope that you will see buying and selling them in the same light as human slavery. Dogs in shelters are euthanized every day all over the country and people are still keeping dogs for the sole purpose of getting them pregnant and selling their puppies. It's wrong.
hahaha i like how they have ads supporting owning animals, when they think owning animals is a type of slavery
Love Jo! Great cause!
Why is this idiot equating breeding in general with puppy mills, as if that is the same thing? So all people who breed dogs run puppy mills? PETA and this chick are retarded. I bought my dog from a breeder because I wanted a certain breed. I am not going to apologize for that. However, it couldn't have been further from a puppy mill.
Why bother adopting? - PETA can just kill them all instead of what, 78%?!
Re: sarainadream – Then tell me why they are asking for $400 donations for animals then?
I also took my animal in who had had a stroke and didn't realize that they didn't do assistance anymore as I had brought a friend's dying cat in there about a year before and they treated it. On my way out with my 13 year old dying cat in my arms one of those "volunteers" whispered in my ear but loud enough for my roommate to hear as well, "if you had taken better care of him he wouldn't be dying."
HE HAD A STROKE!!!!
I know someone who used to work for the head fundraiser and I know how much she made. So your buddy is being ripped off or someone is making money somewhere because I've been privvy to the game at THS and no matter what you say, there's a scam going on there.
You don't make comments like that to people who's animals are dying. You don't ask for $400 donations or you wont be considered and you don't discuss confidential interviews and slander people in the process because you have been caught doing something unethical.
No wonder the THS is suffering, perhaps they should clean up their act, however, this is not an uncommon story, I received a great deal of responses regarding it.
Perhaps your friend is "crying poor" and putting the "donations" away for his retirement?
Re: sarainadream – And I didn't read my story in the press. I EXPERIENCED IT FIRST HAND.
Good for her! She is absolutely beautiful and I'm so glad she is doing something to help this very NEEDY cause! I'm not the biggest fan of PETA, but it doesn't matter because millions (yes, millions!) of dogs and cats are killed every year because there aren't enough homes for them. So why on earth do people continue to overbreed these animals? The answer is MONEY. ADOPT from a shelter and stay away from breeders, pet stores and puppy mills!!!
Re: MaggyMay –
Actually, PETA and this girl are not "retarded" as you so intelligently commented. This is a very serious matter as millions of animals are put to sleep every year because there are not enough homes for them. Maybe you are not aware of this, but now you know. If you are looking for a particular breed, that is understandable as I am partial to certain breeds. There are TONS of specific breeed rescue groups out there. It's as easy as doing a search on the internet and you will find them. We love Jack Russell Terriers, so we adopted our dog from a Jack Russell resuce group who happened to have hundreds of them available for adoption. Buying a dog from a breeder is just making animal overpopulation worse. PETA may be a little "over the top", but this cause is VERY real.
Forget that PETA made this poster and pay attention to the fact that buying a dog from a breeder when there are perfectly good pure bred dogs in shelters is barbaric. As long as people support this industry, it will contribute to the suffering of dogs in shelters.
People who use the fact that PETA made this poster as an excuse to thumb their nose at the fact that selling dogs benefits no one but the people selling them. All you people who have pure bred dogs that you think are superior because you paid a lot for them: WHY do you have a dog? Is it a companion and friend, or is it a status symbol to parade in front of other people? If good genes could guarantee perfect behavior, I think most of the people reading perezhilton.com would find a better way to pass the time. Most behavior is learned, and that goes for dogs too.
SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS AND NEVER BUY, ONLY ADOPT
My granmother Breeds Jack Russel terriers And it is more Hunane than any shelter I have ever seen ASSSSSSSSHOOOOOOOOOOLES!!!!!!!!!!
um…has anyone seen the peta ads for britains next top model? it is completely DEHUMANIZING towards women…and they end up killing the animals anyways, due to "insuffiecient funds" which probably means they are used as SACRIFICES to BAPHOMET….research it! google is your friend!
www.unitedagainstpuppymills.org I happen to live in LANCASTER COUNTY PA home of the amish and puppy mill capitol on the east coast… I've seen some horrific things happen here, trust me i'm not proud to live here….i'm praising PETA it's about time they did something like this… go to the website link above and educate yourself Perez…. (that wasn't meant to sound rude i love you)
must be hard cradleing a pure bred yorkie with a head that's dissconnected badly like that.
Re: jmr022381 –
There is a difference between responsible breeders and full-scale puppy mills - if your grandmother isn't running a PUPPY MILL then obviously this isn't directed at her.
These places are disgusting and should be outlawed. It needs to start with banning sale of puppies in stores. This will also eliminate impulse buying and dogs ending up in shelters.
I think its good that this girl is raising awareness on this issue, because most people wouldn't know about or even believe the horrific lives breeding dogs lead in puppy mills, and number of unwanted/unsold pupplies euthanased each year.
You're a bunch of morons. i work in an animal shelter and see at least 5 pure breed dogs a week. people buy them from pet stores then abandon them at shelters when they don't want to or cant take care of them anymore. We also do puppy mill rescues so we get hundreds of pure breed dogs from there. so think before you speak idiots.i have a pure breed dog i saved from a shelter that was rescued from a puppy mill!
Re: mary667 –
You could also get beautiful purebreed dogs in Pet Finder. There are so many puppies and older dogs that need homes its so saddening I want to adopt not only dogs but cats too.
my dog and cat both came from reputable breeders who show their pets and care for them very well. all my future pets will come from known breeders as well. if peta doesn't like this, they can kiss the fattest part of my ass.
she also looks like an evil angel here, what with the lighting and what not…
yeah i did watch DWTS…my mom likes that show
but STILL!!!!
PETA needs your donations to pay for all of these tarded ads.
And don't hold your breath if you're actually expecting these "celebs" to do anything worthwhile for these animals.
There is nothing wrong with *responsible* breeding. My poodle's breeder loved and cared for her dogs like they were her children. A good breeder handles the dogs, raises them in their home, and socializes them. My groomer knew right off the bat that my dog came from a breeder because she was so easy to handle; she had to have come from a breeder to have received that degree of socialization.
What's irresponsible is making an ad that implies that all breeders are cruel puppy mill operators. Responsible purebred breeders don't breed indiscriminantly. They choose breeding dogs carefully to avoid genetic defects, and they are educated about the geneology and lineage of their canine friends. Throwing away the practice of purebred breeding also throws away a lot of precious knowledge about genetic predispositions and diseases that can be avoided. So… breeding is not the problem. Irresponsible, greed-driven breeding is.
What we need is standards for breeding–not eradicating the practice.
did they really need the whole angel theme here?…. it kinda bugs me.
Re: Soda-Pop-Lover –
Soda*
As a Catholic it pisses me off, too. I don't know any "Angels" who hang the Holy Rosary from their naked tittays.
Re: dissycat – I don't care for PETA, but I think YOU are especially arrogant and obnoxious. I wish YOU were selectively bred, because you are so stupid that you would have been culled before you even learned how to speak.
Re: OrangePekoe – "Responsible breeding" is a raging oxyMORON. There is ZERO need to purposely make an animal give birth over and over, or even once, when there is a serious, mind boggling crisis of too many unwanted ones. All because you selfish people want a certain kind. Grow up.
Re: schmoopsy – I think I love you, schmoopsy. well said! These people with their fancy inbreed "pets" are living in la la land.
Selling sex for puppies? No thanks!
is she wearing feathers?????
Ok I SOOOO Have to Disagree with this!!!! I used to breed Pomeranians and THERE are DECENT Breeders out there. You just have to do research. You CAN Get a GOOD Healthy Dog From the paper. I Agree with the Shutting down puppy mills, but don't take away the right for Good Breeders to do what they want. I have 2 Pommy's One had 3 litters and the other( who is a Daughter from my 1st litter the pommy on my profile picture) Had one litter. I treated those babies like real babies, They were Completely socialized and loved, trained and with good bloodlines. They also had wonderful mothers and fathers. I only bred the mothers 1 a year and now I'm done. I am in contact with some of the people who bought my dogs and they are healthy happy dogs too.I just really wish Peta would back off of breeders like myself who breed for the love of their dogs, and to further the breed. People who breed at home are not all dangerous puppy mills. Most of us Love our dogs and their babies!
Re: Shelleybean –
Amen, It depends on who your breeder is! I think Peta would happily stop everyone from even Buying Dogs, If that happens Where are we gonna get dogs at pounds? After Spaying and Neutering every dog they will die out! Peta needs to not generalize and admit that there are responsible people who breed dogs!
Re: OrangePekoe –
AMEN AMEN !!!
Re: scooterrific – "and while i am at it….are those feathers photoshopped? or are they REAL feathers? "
Yeah why doesn't Peta put out an AD Ranting about this ad Because of "Those POOR BIRDS" who lost their feathers for an AD!!! Save The Birds Feather, Maybe when they shed them PETA can glue 'em back on so they will be happier birds?
cute. all of PEDA's pics are something like this…topless or naked….like it…but y have a rosary?????
Re: sweetfreedom – um who cares? its like a signature thing….sometimes they do "id rather be naked than wear fur"
hmmm….I wonder where they got the Feathers for her wings…….
LAME! If I want a specific dog breed, I'm getting it, damn it! Don't fucking tell me that I need to adopt a dog, you PETA fuckers! and celebrity bitches who just want ANY "legitimate" reason to pose NAKED and get your ass out there. How would you like it if I said "Hey, you can't make your own babies, you need to adopt because there's plenty of homeless, needy children in the world!" Fuck that. Do what you want with your money people! Get the dog you want!!!!
So who did she adopt Rugby the purebred Yorkie from ?
I would not buy from a puppy mill, but if somoene wants a purebred puppy, then its their choice.
I am all for adopting, i think thats the only way you should get an animal but i think its funny that PETA has ads like this when they are responsible for 4 MILLION dogs and cats being murdered in kill shelters every year! they are so full of shit.
