The skeleton of the model used in 1933's King Kong sold for a massive $200,000 on a London auction block on Tuesday!!

$200k for a 22-inch legendary figure made of metal???

What a steal!

The small figurine was originally covered in cotton, rubber, liquid latex and rabbit's fur when it scaled the side of a mock Empire State Building over 75 years ago, but all of that shiz rotted away as the years passed.

Ick!

Shhhh - don't tell Perez what rare baseball cards are going for these days. They're not even made of metal.

I know I watch the 1976 remake on tv every single time it is broadcast. What I always wonder is WHY the King Kong movie endings don't actually follow the true legendand original movie scrip?? In the true legend the girl and the scientist run away with King Kong to Hawaii. And live happily forever near an old burnt out volcano. What kind of friend would run and hide when SHE knew that IF she went to Kong HE would have been happier and maybe no action scene would have been needed for the end of the movie. Unlike the movie Green Mile which honoured a wonderful book; I hope that the new King Kong movie makes room for the nicer ending….

I friend 20 years or so ago told me to get into buying movie memorabilia. He had purchased tons of quality stuff quite cheap as had homes in the LA area. I was way to young to take that advice at the time, sadly.
——————————————————————This model does not look so much like Khloe Kardashian so much without all the fur.
