I'm not saying what Chris did was right, but, it wasn't done to draw attention to neither him or Rihanna in my opinion. It's not like he did it on MTV which is cable that people choose to pay for which is why you can get away with more on cable television verses prime time tv. I went to the sites of GLA AD, HRC, PFLAG, The Task Force, Out on line and The Advocate on line. I guess I missed the outrage and fury.
Only 2 of the six had mentions of ABC/CBS censoring.
Out's statement was very much in the tone of we told you so with respect to their editorial/reporter comments about being asked by Adam's record company to tone down the gay (they actually guessed, perhaps correctly that the finger was aimed at them).
G LADD had two very tepid statements of disappointment saying ABC then CBS were wrong in uninviting Adam and in CBS's case censuring the kiss.
There are many opinions out there and we all know that opinions are like assholes, everyone has one (Just yours may be quite a bit more open), but to say a community of activists from which you are already persona non grata is up in arms is just a lie, aimed especially at the non-gay community who is unlikely to read these sources.

Adam is really, really interesting as a person. You just have to hear him speak in the Sirius XM Larry Flick interview, or the Fab magazine interview or The Big Show interview and you can tell there is something actually very very special about this guy. I never understood why people thought he was going to change something or make an impact like the artists who are now considered Greats but were shunned at the start of their career did, but after watching his interview where the guy just let him talk, there is something about him.

There is so much more to the movement than silly ol "perez hilton" and adam lambert (THANK GOODNESS), but this is important because it's one of the more visible aspects of the movement to the general public. I understand the excitement of having an openly gay entertainer who isn't afraid to hide his true self - that's great! Good for Adam, yet you can be openly and proudly who you are without resorting to public sex acts. That's not all there is to gay men and that's pretty much the message Adam put out there.

Honestly, his music is alright..(GLambert) but I think he did the man on man kiss not for "art", but just solely for the controversy and publicity. He's not stupid, he wants to be FAMOUS. He's doing what britney spears did…but it's not the same. When Madonna Kissed britney she was passing the torch…adam just did that to be controversial….there's a big difference on why they did it. I am all for gays being able to do what they want…but come on on National TV? And is his music so lame that he has to find other ways to get popular?
