Susan Boyle had ANOTHER breakdown while having lunch at the Rock Centre cafe in NYC's Rockefeller Centre on Monday.
Immediately after her performance on the Today show, she was presented with a quilt made by hundreds of people from 28 countries including the UK, US, Australia, Mexico, Japan and Antarctica - and then she lost it!
SuBo began to become withdrawn, shake and inevitably suck her thumb. The emotion became so much that she started to sob and put her head on the table, yet the tantrum didn't last long. Once she realized that hundreds of fans and cameras were watching, she got out of her chair and began to do a lively dance.
According to her spokesman, "'She was just overjoyed and extremely touched with the reception she had had from everyone in America."

As talented as Susan is, she does have issues. Issues I am sure she will continue to have for the rest of her life. She will always need a team to take care of her, to shelter her. To learn when she is going to lose it and shield her from it.

Susan obviously has an anxiety disorder and maybe other mental illnesses. She went from being a no-body to being on center stage and that alone is enough to throw anyone into a state of panic. She was never given positive affirmation as a child as she was not even sent to a regular school. She was very poor and now is wealthy. Not everyone flourishes in the spotlight or with tremendous wealth. Give the poor woman a chance and love her for what she is. She has a marvelous voice and we can all just sit back and enjoy it.
A typical reaction pattern shift, depending of where you were born. Sure if she was born in NY or CA she wont behave the way she does to show fun and happyness.

She has said she had some sort of learning disability and that she was teased and bullied at school, and beaten by her teachers for not being able to keep up.
She has a lot of trouble with social behaviors, and when she was first talking to the judges on the show before her song, I wondered if she might be somewhere on the autistic spectrum. Perhaps asperger. Women and girls with asperger can be very talented in one area and find it almost impossible to interact socially. They can be very hard on themselves and emotionally volatile.

The Daily Mail really got this one wrong. I was actually there, in person, at that brunch with Susan. That photo with her thumb in her mouth was snapped while she was telling someone she was going to take "baby steps" in her progress, and then at the prodding of her fans, did a baby imitation. She was indeed overcome by emotion because nearly 150 fans had presented her with a quilt, with squares representing every state of the US and numerous other countries as well. And they presented her with a mini-quilt for her cat as well. She was delightful and funny and thoroughly entertaining the entire time. I'm not even a big fan (was at the lunch with a friend who IS though) but boy, I really learned how the paparazzi distort stuff when I read this.
