After being rushed to the hospital on Friday, it seems that David Hasselhoff suffered a seizure.
"I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing and he told me his eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he'd had a seizure," said his neighbor, Christian. And, unfortunately, "this isn't the first time this has happened to him."
Hasselhoff was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after his daughter Hailey called 911. He has been on anti-seizure medication for some time, but its effects may have been dampened by alcohol as reports indicate that he had been drinking.

No fan of the Hoff's entertainment credits, but as one previously sick and suffering alcoholic to another please get the help you need, no matter the form it comes in, for the sake of your family and yourself.
It sucks that his kid keeps finding him like that. He's in for a SHITTY detox! Dumbass.

Alcohol withdrawal also causes seizures, so perhaps he was trying to sober up without proper detox meds.
The Hoff Suffered Seizure" induced by ingesting too much alcohol. How many MORE episodes will this drunken bum have before he realizes he needs to get himself into rehab ASAP??
alcohol seizures usually occur anywhere from 24-72 hours after not drinking,so yeah I think he was trying to sober up. it can be deadly to try and do this on your own.

I feel so sad for Hailey, it seems she calls 911 every other month due to her father's drinking. She's too young to have to deal with that. Shame on you, David Hasselhoff! Get some help, for your children's sake at least!
Her name is Hayley, NOT Hailey. Why can't you ever spell that name correctly?
So sad to watch him throw his career down the toilet and refuse to get help. I feel sad for his daughters.

My dad was an alcoholic and died from complications due to his alcoholism. The first signs of his liver failure and his body shutting down on him was seizures. I'm not a fan of David Hasselhoff's but I hope he gets the help he needs.

He needs court ordered help. Have they stopped ordering hospitalization when someone shows up in the ER with the detox convulsions?

One word: REHAB.
Alcohol is a diuretic and will make you pee. Remember, "You don't buy beer, you rent it" (Archie Bunker). The anti-seizure meds get peed out and the blood level is dropped and he would no longer have the protection from seizures. That is if he were drinking while taking the meds. I hope that he gets into some big lengthy programme to dry out etc. Otherwise, it is inevitalble that he is going to die from his disease. Sad.
It can act as a diuretic, but he wouldn't need the anti-seizure meds if his liver wasn't overloaded and his pancreas didn't stop doing its job. He's in late-stage alcoholism. I predict we'll be seeing him in the obits next, I'm afraid.
And that paramedic should know that s/he could be fined at least 10K for that little HIPPA violation of his patient's privacy–stupid guy or girl.

The paramedic violated HIPAA by telling the neighbor he'd had a seizure. I'm a paramedic and am always very careful not to reveal specifics to nosy neighbors. Especially when dealing with a celebrity!
