Then, why the hell did he ask?!

Although Robbie Williams asked his longtime girlfriend, Ayda Field, to marry him live on the radio, the singer is "not engaged"!!!

It was a joke - that's his excuse!!! And we bet she's thrilled!

Robbie took to his website to combat the rumors, in which he writes, "Hey all. We are not engaged. Rob."

He's either an idiot to deny it or a douche to propose as a joke!

robbie is a textbook example of how being deep in the closet your whole life screws you up. all his mental problems, drug problems, career problems can be traced back to his deep denial of his sexuality.
i don't know if there's enough therapy in the world to help somebody in his situation. it's sad since he is a bright and talented guy. the closet is an evil place.
