Tiger Woods Cancels Tournament Appearance

In the wake of his car accident controversy, Tiger Woods has canceled plans to attend his charity golf tournament, the Chevron World Challenge in California, due to his "injuries".
The pro golfer says:
"I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."
Woods has won the tournament 4 times and the event raises money for the Tiger Woods Foundation programs.
That's a shame, he's surely the biggest draw to the tournament.
Hopefully people will show up to support the good cause anyway!

I have been a fan of Tiger's since the day he walked out as a pro. I have lost a lot of faith in him over this. I don't care if he cheated or not, this tournament is for his charity to help kids, and this makes him look like a coward. So a split lip is causing you to withdraw from your own tournament?
Why is it so hard for people to admit their mistakes and just come clean?

Completely understandable that he won't be attending. He was just in a serious car accident and obviously has some personal issues at the moment.
You're - as usual - trying to paint him as some sort of asshole for pulling out of this charity event - in light of the circumstances, I would have been very surprised if he did make it.
