Lambert's AMAs Performance Prompts Change At ABC

What a load of crap!
ABC is now reviewing their policies for live performers after complaints arose from Adam Lambert's controversial performance at the American Music Awards!
Network President Anne Sweeney reveals that ABC may have performers sign a contract saying that their live performance will mirror their rehearsals!
"We certainly don't want to suppress artistry at any level, but we also have to be very cognizant of who our audience is," Sweeney says.
That sure sounds like "suppressing artistry" to us and tinged with a bit of homophobia!
What do U think of ABC's decision?

Re: Carlena – As I recall, their kiss wasn't on network prime time.
Re: Claudiane – How is a parent not being responsible by letting their child watch an awards show aimed at aLL audiences. His performance was on at 9 o'clock where I live, which is generally a child's bedtime. It wasn't like they were letting the kid stay up til midnight to watch that trash. It was primetime on network. No one was warned he would go off the deep end like that. Parents aren't the one to blame here. Lambert is. Sorry to break it to you, dear.
You find homophobia in anything. Face the facts. There are certain rules for primetime television, especially on a network that is owned by DISNEY! It wasn't late night, so anything didn't go. He should feel lucky that they didn't fine him thousands of dollars like they've done other people.
ABC should die!
I don't think that ABC would handle this the same way if it had been anything other than 2 men, but no matter who is involved I found it inappropriate. Especially the part where he rubbed that man's face around in his crotch, if a man had done that to a woman it would've been seen as just as inappropriate-they would have seen it as demeaning to women. I don't think the big problem was the kiss-it was the oral sex simulation. Also, you know if it was an artist you didn't like you wouldn't be supporting them at all, even in a similar situation.
Perez, shut up. Adam knew it was wrong, & that's why it was never done in rehearsal because Adam knew himself that that sort of stuff wouldn't be allowed. If they were "homophobic" they wouldn't have let him close out the AMA's in the first place.
It's called show BUSINESS.
This has nothing to do with homophobia…stop making EVERYthing into a gay issue. This has to do with completely inappopriate behavior. If a man had stuck a woman's head in his crotch in the same way, there would be backlash. Of course a television station is going to want people to act the way they do in rehearsal - that's what rehearsals are for. Who wants someone who changes his/her performance when live? NO ONE.
God you're an idiot. I applaud ABC 150%. If I want to see sex on tv, I'll watch cable.
a bit homophobic? this is getting WAY out of hand….
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT HE IS GAY! THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IT WAS FUCKING RAUNCHY!
EVEN THE BLONDE GIRL DANCING UP ON HIM WAS EXTREMLY INNAPPROPRIATE! she was dancing like a stripper with crabs!
If Adam was not gay, Perez, you would not be defending him…. The performance included whips, half naked people, forcing a man to pretend to perform oral sex on him… I MEAN COME ON! children are watching!
When Britney Spears kissed Madonna - they didn't blur it out because she britney didnt get down, spread her legs and shove Madonna's face in between her legs….. EVEN IF IT WERE A MALE SINGER THAT DID THAT TO A FEMALE SINGER, I WOULD STILL BE UNCOFTORABLE, IMAGINE A 13 YR OLD??
and anyways, did any of you even HEAR him "sing"— its not even like the vocals were an amazing performance .
Quite frankly, the whole performance sucked ass - from his singing, to his cheezy moves. to the outdated costumes - he reallyu tried to pull a Britney Spears - slave for you - but it REALLY FAILED!
I MEAN COME ON PEREZ, I THOUGHT OUT OF ALL PEOPLE
