Will Twilight Become Five Films?
New Moon hasn't even been out yet for two weeks and Summit Entertainment is trying to figure out their next move in the Twilight franchise.
Translation: they're figuring out the money situation.
If the final book, Breaking Dawn is split into two films, that means R-Patz, K-Stew and TayTay will get a raise. And reports are speculating eight figure paychecks!
Personally, we don't think Kristen is worth that much, but whatevs.
So will Summit fork over more money?
They've remained mum on the situation, but we're guessing they'll eventually realize that they'll make their money back quickly. That is, if the Twilight craze hasn't fizzled out by then.
P.S. It's a little less than 7 months until Eclipse comes to the big screen, but who's counting?

Kristen is worth it but Rob and Taylor seems to just get paid for taking their shirt off. While Kristen is paid for her acting and she is worth that much money if not more.

I am… I'm a 35 year old mother of two teens and I can't wait to take them and see it for myself… We loved New Moon and have read the collection. It may seem silly to some but we have enjoyed it together and connected on a different level. Something I never did with my parents.

Breaking Dawn is basically a 2 part book. Half from Jacob's perspective and half from Bella's. There is almost no way to fit all of the book in one movie. I do not belive this is a money situation as much as it is trying to decide whether to sqeeze too much into one movie or go for it and make two.

Breaking Dawn would have to be two movies. There are so many key points in Breaking Dawn that have to be in the movie. If it was just one movie then it would be edited way to much. The books by far are better than the movies however they get the point across….. I can not wait for Eclipse
And Robert, Kristen and Taylor ALL deserve FAT raises. The "Saga" they are a part of is breaking records in movie sales etc, shouldn't they get a pay day out of it? I think so! …………..

Paying K-Stew an 8 figure salary is slapping the starving kids in third world countries in the face. Let's allocate that money to people who need it.. Doesn't make sense to pay someone for being awkward. The girl can not act.
FYI that's been a debate that's been happening since the dawn of Twilgiht's "amazing" breakthrough in the films…um, last oooooooh August 2008 when media moguls began to realize the $$$ that would be coming from the franchise. You're old news, rezzie.
Although on a second note, in terms of splitting it the movies wouldn't be that interesting, especially since the ending's so anticlimactic. I don't blame Steph for writing the way she did. She would have been slaughtered had either Bella or Edward been killed after all that waiting around for them to be together, and that would have been the eventual outcome had the Volturi fought them. The other books got away with it because it was so anticlimactic until the end when it ended in a rush of adrenaline, the last book was just the opposite. It would be difficult to split that in two then, because of what would be involved.
I think its stretching breaking dawn way too much to split it. there is quite a while in the book were not very much happens. they should concenrate on making a decent movie not sticking 100% to the books - mix it up a little

So I've read ALL the books…the first 3 weren't so bad..they were good (movie acting has SUCKED for all movies so far though, not sure if i'm looking forward to Eclipse or not). Breaking Dawn however, I struggled to even finish. It just seemed really repetative, and boring in some parts. I see how it could potentially make one good movie, but there's not enough in there to make two good movies. Just make it longer than 90minutes, but make only ONE. Could you imagine if they made Titanic into 2 movies…geez…get over it…those actors don't need an extra pay cheque from this madness…if they think they do..then they are nothing but money hungry and worthless to society

No more Harry Potter comparisons please. It's like comparing a cheeseburger to a roast dinner. HP had a rich, intricate storyline and characters, hence, it needed to be split. BD has copious sex scenes, an unbelievable twist of a dead guy impregnating a live chick, and an awful peadophile slant involving a dog and a baby. Who wants 2 films of angst and plot holed storyline? Movie executives that's who. The book doesn't have enough plot to warrant 2 films.
Hey, I LOVE those books but without Kristen, there would be no movies! She is SUCH a great actress and I'd do her over Rob or Taylor anyday…Some day she WILL win an academy award, trust me.
