The merger is almost complete and an new era is being ushered in over at NBC.

Reports are that the deal between General Electrics and Comcast over the majority holdings of NBC as finally been completed.

The mega companies are only waiting for Vivendi to let go of its 20% claim on the network and then, their business is final.

But what will this mean for all your favorite shows and the flailing network??? Will Jay Leno be safe?!?

At least, maybe we can hope for some better programming. By now, isn't the CW getting better numbers than the peacock?

Jay Leno was canceled yesterday on the east coast.
Soon, he will be canceled in the west coast.

That one condition numero uno by comcast.

Actually I think ABC might be now since they got some new comedies in their lineup. lets face it NBC has been failing since Friends went off the air. I think he might right the CW is probably getting better ratings. As for Jay Leno hard to say if he has a 5 year contract or whatever then the studio will have to buy out the contract so even if he gets pulled then he will still get a good pay day. Just depends on those stipulations and considering Leno has been doing it for awhile I'm guessing he will get paid either way.

      General Electric not Electrics

it's just concentrating the powers that be, allowing them to further their trickle-up economic propaganda while offshoring their own staff in the process.

I hope they have enough $$ left over
to buy Keith Olbermann a new hairpiece
With his left eye bulging, and the rug slippin, I find it so hard to hear what the clown is saying

PLEASE keep Thursday night lineup the same. PLEASE. Save Parks and Rec, The Office, and 30 Rock.

Another BULLSHIT Mega-Merger of dubious consequence culturally and financially. What ever happened to Anti-Trust?

Media Consolidation is what we don't want any more of. FCC & Congress should order all Companies not directly involved in Film, TV, News, or Radio to divest those divisions to non-interlocking directorates of Industrial Companies. Too much Price-Fixing, Propaganda and Control from above.
      ANti-Trust must be revived.
