Grammy's Golden Girls! And The Nominees Are….

Yes! Yes! Yes! And yes!!!!
Although she was wrongly snubbed in the Best New Artist category, the Lady Miz GaGa walked away with SIX nominations when the Grammy Award noms were announced Wednesday night.
The Bad Romance singer is up for the major awards of the evening, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
GaGa faces some stiff competition from Beyonce, who was nominated for a very very impressive TEN awards!
Not to be outdone, the lovely Taylor Swift got herself eight nominations, including all the major categories too.
Take that Kanye!
Other notable Grammy nominees include: Katy Perry, Adele, Pink, MGMT, Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Jason Mraz and The Ting Tings.

This Taylor Swift person, who is she? Does she have a song out I can listen to? (or is she some sort of country singer, in which case I don't want to know)
Have you heard Taylor sing White Horse? Not a dance song but a heart song, not bad for a 18 year old.
i don't get why Taylor Swift keeps gettin nominations for country…. she's so NOT country anymore
taylor will win "album of the year", no doubt about that one. fearless was/is a phenomenon. gaga will take home something and so will beyonce. as will kings of leon. everyone will go home happy.
GO COLDPLAY!!!!!!! Life In Technicolor II!!
Taylor Swift? wtf?
I'm sorry I think Taylor swift is cute and all but seriously? Her music sounds like the same pop stuff on the radio everyday its really not that original in a lot of respect. I do have to say congratulations to Gaga though!!! She rules!!!
I'l flip my shit if Taylor Swift will be the winner of the evening.
Re: Tobadforme – If David Bowie and Madonna had a baby it would be Gaga, not so original but fun to listen to.
Taylor Swift is overrated. She sucks eggs! Yeah Gaga!
Taylor Swift is overrated.
I can't believe Taylor Swift's teeny-bopper music is being recognized in the high-honor awards for the night. Selling a shit ton of albums/single-track downloads and getting embarrassed by Kanye West at the VMA's does not automatically make you that great of a musician. She seems like a great person, but she is simply an average musician making sugary hits for the teens-and-tweens crowd to enjoy. I would prefer it if, like Miley Cyrus, she could just sell a bunch of albums to her target audience without the Grammys giving her undue credit. There's no way she deserves to be nominated for Album of the Year over the likes of U2 and Jay-Z. It's just not fair to fail to acknowledge the hard work of other artists just to make a statement. There's just no way her album is *that* highly-revered by actual adults. I hope Beyonce or DMB win for Album of the Year. I love Gaga, but her album wasn't deep enough for her to win that award. Beyonce's "Diva" and "Video Phone" are also questionable tracks to belong on an album nominated for Album of the Year, so I'm kind of torn with her. And I don't even know what the hell the BEP's are doing in that category. Their album just wasn't *that* good. Jay-Z always gets fucked over at the Grammys.
Taylor Swift really sucks!
Gaga wasn't wrongly snubbed dumass.
Ewww..Kanye! hope he does not show up! Good for Taylor! she has worked hard!! good for Gaga..for being wierd and diff…love beyonce and love my britney!!! xoxo
No Whitney?… shame.
Re: stavrogin – Kiss My Ass! LOL
If Taylor Swift wins more awards than Gaga I'm gonna go off
again how in the hell did lady gaga get snubbed. rules are rules perez and should't be changed just to please one person. she was nominated last year for another category which technically does not make her a new artist. be happy she was nominated for bigger categories and quit bitching about best new artist.
nominees are actually pretty good this year…but one thing…Keri Hilton is not a new artist! She sang on the song "Way I Are" by Timbaland…so why is she nominated in best new artist category? If she is then Lady Gaga should be!!!
I wouldn't say no! Actually there're lots of sexy big&tall men and woman on __Tallconnect.com__; and they are actually dating beautiful big&tall people there! now I start believing no weight&height gap is too wide in fron of true love!
What happen with Britney? She kicked a** this year. She's all they play in the radio.
She deserves more nominations. Boo!!!!
leave kanye west alone perez bet u wouldnt say any of the shit you've written about him to his face!! your really starting to get on my nerves
Really taylor swift? My 7 year old sister can write better music.
Whats next? She'll be nominated for an oscar for her movie valentines days?
Haha this is a joke
Re: ChemicallyRoz – ha I know! Gaga is original too. And Beyonce… well, she's Beyonce! I don't get how TS made it so big… how does someone who cannot even sing make it to here? it's pretty sad what it says about the taste in music these days.
Isn't this HIGHLY IRONIC? Most people are so dumb founded at the fact HOW taylor swift can even be considered in the same light as the talents of Beyonce and Gaga not to mention win a award over MJ…isn't this EXACTLY what Kanye went nutts over? LOL. Even though he totally should have let her have her moment, he actually said what most of us are thinking looking at these nominations! And honestly I hope beyonce cleans up, along with the Kings of Leon! Gaga's alright…
The Kanye Taylor Swift shit is past OLD. Let it go. Yeezy has grammy's of his own and I am sure he is happy for Taylor. He apologized…you muthafuckas just won't let the shit DIE!!!
Dave matthews 100000% deserves to win for album of the year, he is pure talent wether you like him or not. big whiskey was a STELLAR album!
Okay this is what makes me mad about the can't sing for shit Taylor Swift girl, is she country or is she pop?? Because it's not fair for her to be in the same categories as Gaga or Beyonce, and then also be in the country categories. It increases her change for a win if she is in both categories. Beyonce or Gaga can't be in both so why the hell can she. But anyway Taylor will not be around for long most people who hit their high so early fade away when their teen fans grow up.
What a load of shit! Grammys are such a joke!
Re: girl interrupted – I agree! Beyonce is talented, there's no denying that. But Sasha Fierce wasn't the greatest CD of the year–nowhere near creative as Maxwell's Blacksummers Night. To me it just seems the Grammy's have turned into the VMAs–what's with all the Top 40 stuff? I like the Grammy's because it's a chance to discover NEW music–not just what they play on the radio all damn day!!
taylor swift should get a grammy for somthing
LEONA LEWIS wasnt nominated? wtf! both her albums were world class
Re: Not my gumdrop buttons! –
No, it's not just you… I find it all quite mainstream mediocre too
Yes, glad to see Dave Matthews Band album getting a couple nods. It is absolutely amazing!!!!
Re: igetsooocbaby –
Madonna is still the queen of pop
Re: ap076 –
They suck so hard
Re: shittin_condoms –
kinda scary, isn't it
kol song was out well over a year ago wtf?
britney freaking spears is not a notable nomine?
Re: evileep –
No, not fun to listen to (formulated, mainstream, overprocessed)..
and leave Bowie out of it, seriously
I can see how these awards shows suck. There are too many needless nominations and too many awards given away.
Who pays for this shiz???
They should cut it down about three fourths and give awards to a few…not the whole freakin' industry!
Re: Soda-Pop-Lover –
"Gaga is original too"
For someone who hasn't heard anything outside of the charts, maybe
Taylor Swift = bought and paid for nomination. She may be a good songwriter, but she cannot sing without the assistance of computer correction. See if anyone remembers her name 5, 10 years from now. Anyone who has heard her sing live will tell you this… and to put her in the same category with these other performers is an insult to those performers. Don't get me wrong - she's a sweet girl, but her moments in THIS particular spotlight - the spotlight of being nominated for and winning awards - is a grave disservice to those who work extremely hard at their craft and who have legitimate talent worth celebrating.
YOU CANT BE WRONGLY SNUBBED IF YOU ARENT NEW, YOU FAT RETARD!
BUT LETS BE HONEST HERE…TAYLOR SWIFT AND BEYONCE WILL CLEAR UP, THEYRE WINNING EVERY AWARD AROUND ATM.
Madonna's Celebration against Gaga's Poker Face vs Britney's Womanizer, mmmm…. I'm going for Lady gaga thoe I love Madonna but that song is not as good as poker face, and as for womanizer…. it just has no chance… it's such a dumb song with the simpliest lyrics ever…
I won't watch it, I have nothing againt her, but I know Taylor will win even in the categories she is not nominated in… just the way it has been… they get fixated with somebody, and is the "only" artist in the world…
i thought the nominations were great! i think it'll be huge for beyonce, taylor, kings of leon, gaga. i was so happy MGMT got nominated. everyone that says they're sick of taylor being a victom… no one gives a fuck about the kanye thing anymore!! people are saying 'oh she only got grammy noms because she feels bad' if they felt bad.. kanye wouldve gotten no nominations! this is the grammys, a huge board full of talented people vote on it. cant wait til the awards!
uhh please! when will this taylor swift frenzy end! sure shes good but there is a hell of a lot more artists out there with more talent then this crazy bitch! 8 award for what? Give it a year then she'll be gone, poof. One album wonder.
MGMT!!!! yeahhh buddy
Re: youtubemegan – Britney/Christina? Enough said.
Beyonce' and Lady Gaga definately deserve their nominations. Taylor on the other hand? Not so much. Sure she is cute and I'm sure she is sweet, but her music is mediocre AT BEST. Her music is so fucking corny and ANNOYING. She should seriously send KanYe a thank you gift because I am conviced that if he hadn't rushed the stage during her speech, nobody would give a shit about her. Except for the teenagers who have no clue what good music isf and buy into her "music"……..Ugh, Taylor Swift go away. Your music sucks. You look high all the time. Get a new hair do, your curls are played out. And go work on your "talent". Beyonce' you are not!!!! ♥
Only part that interested me was the country section on this list.
Judging by Gaga's frock then you'd think she was trying out for an early audition of Golden Girls. And it looks like she's going for Bea Arthurs role.
first gaga sucks big time.and for beyonce i dont understand why shes so nominated if she only has sucess in usa. beyonce came to eiurope on last summer and she perfomed for very small group of ppl.she didnt stadiums.just like CACA she only has sucess in usa nothing more.
MADONNA IS NOMINATED TOO
Re: igetsooocbaby – QUEEN OF POP IS MADONNA U LOSER. CHECK THE FACTS.NOONE CALLS SHITNEY QUEEN.ONLY MADONNA. madonna at 51 break all the records with the best tour evert.briut cant perform in stadiums like madonna.brit doesnt sell like madonna.get a life.madonna is the most popular artist around the world according statistics
Re: SaintThomas92 – madonna is madonna.poker face is rubbish.not good at all. celebration is #1 in europe for months. poker face has no chance.maybe just in america.lady caca sucks.
Re: MadonnaCelebration –
"MADONNA IS NOMINATED TOO"
She's not going to win
gaga sucks. music today sucks.
1) Neko Case
2) Depeche Mode
3) Daphnis & Chloe
Re: MadonnaCelebration –
You're a walking abortion! Do you think people really give a shit how successful Madonna is? Sorry, but if I ask my co-workers, my neighbor, my landlord, the people in the supermarket checkout line, the man on the street…they're not going to give a shit. I can't see any reason why you post constantly about Madonna other than you realize she's really not as talented as other singers, and you feel you need to justify her success by trying to invalidate others'. Spare me the numbers and figures in your future response..I really don't care. And FYI, you're "only in America" argument is moot, seeing that "Poker Face" went #1 in over 17 countries, including all over Europe…you know…the place where you claim Lady Gaga isn't popular.
Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Britney, HP and the HBP, ting tings and Colbie FTW!!!!!!!
I almost want to watch this….
almost….
seriously taulor doesnt deserve nominations, she shouldnt seriously thank kayne cause her music sucks, and for beyonce shes going to take them allll she seriously worked hard this year and its clear she has 10 nominations seriously can we compare taylor and beyonce, taylor got the sympathy votes.
Go on Greenday
I'm getting sick of Taylor Swift. She doesn't deserve none of those awards. The pity party needs to end. If she wins I'm swearing off music award shows.
Re: MadonnaCelebration – c'mon I love Madonna and I love Celebration and I wish for it to win the Grammy she totally deserves it, not so muchy for the song but for what that album represents, but Poker Face is also an amazing song it's really good pop-electronica, and Ive been in USA, Spain and Venezuela this year and everywhere I went there it was.. po-po-po-poker face! it's a big hit, I'm just saying Madonna has a huge competition there! and for britney… shes just the puppet of pop not the princess
10 nominations for beyonce. i guess it helps her cause that everything she does is terrible?
Viva la GaGa, cuando son los grammy?..
Viva La GaGa…
i hope katy perry wins!!!
Maxwell =)
TAYLOR SWIFT IS GOING TO WIN.. BUT I LIKE LADY GAGA TOO WHO EVER WINS JUST HOPPING ITS ONE OF THEM
I don't get how there are a million categories for pop and counrty but hardly any rock categories! That's bullshit.
"wrongly snubbed?" im a gaga fan but guess wat: SHE. IS. NOT. NEW!! her album came out last year in october and she's been writing songs for artists long before then. seriously mario, you have to stop writing up every little thing she does. YOURE NOT HELPING HER!
So Perez you DO know that Tswift got more than Gaga? Yeah theres a reason for that, you just like the weird ones you freak!
They really left Lady GaGa out of "best pop PERFORMANCE by a female solo artist"? Really!?!?!? Her piano versions of "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi" got snubbed by "hot n' cold"??@?@!!!! That's ridiculous.
6 nom for gaga woohooo !!
I'M ON A BOAT!!!!!!!! is nominated that song is epic
Hope Gaga's gonna win … and Beyonce .. I love them!
i'm so happy for taylor swift!!!
how can people weve never heard/cared about be nominated and not fall out boy? -.-
Re: MadonnaCelebration –
STOP chatting shit!! Beyonces last album has actually been more successful in the UK thank in the US!! Other EU countries aren't important anyway but she's one of the most successful artists of this decade. Get over it!!
Please let 'Kings of Leon' win something.
Use Somebody is such a great number!
Re: Aimers81 – I think he should post more about her. I love to hear about every single thing our little Gagalicious is doing. She is obviously the most interesting celeb, of course Perez is going to post a lot about her.
Re: titismack – It's crazy, but she is the only artist that sold more albums than MJ this year. Obviously, she is doing something right.
Re: xcalibur – They snubbed her because she can no longer sing. I submit Whitney on Good Morning America as exhibit A.
Re: Spongebubbers – erm, yea. Already Gone sounded just like Halo, Kelly Clarkson said so herself. She didn't even want it released as a single while Halo was out.
