Redmond Making Progress!

Good for him!

Farrah Fawcett's son, Redmond O'Neal, had a progress hearing this morning. And after his last one didn't go so well, the judge warned him that if he didn't step it up there'd be consequences.

Well, Redmond must have listened since the judge said to him earlier, "I told you to turn it around, and it looks like you did."

Redmond explained to the judge, "I have been doing treatment awhile your honor. I want to do something different. I want to stay clean." He also adds that he's feeling "very good" and "staying very positive."

We wish you well on your path to recovery!

Make your mother proud!

awww good for him! i hope he keeps it up. Losing a parent is always hard, one of the hardest thing to go thru. my dad died in 95 and i still think and miss him everyday. I know he wants to make his mom proud. Just as i strive to make my dad proud.

Staying clean and sober is so difficult. Keep up the good work.

that file photos is so moldy.

how can he possibly stay clean? I mean, the poor creature, he has no real chance, given where he lives and who his family is (isn't). He can't get a regular "job" and he inherited money….what incentive will he have to stay straight, other than to avoid jail? or death? I guess a great love would do it for him; it has worked for some. but I don't think he has any talents or prospects, and his dad and half-sibs can't be any help! Neither can Alana.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I hope he gets that he's kinda on his own now, and Farrah was the one who had his back. She set it up so that he gets a monthly pay out, instead of a lump sum to protect him. Ryan doesn't seem to have his sh*t together and he shouldn't trust him for advice. Redmond needs to understand that his mother gave his the opportunity to do well in life. Develop your self-esteem Redmond and know that Farrah set you up for success and you don't need to numb yourself with drugs anymore. It's not easy being alone in the world, but I feel sure that your mother was praying that being able to support yourself will help you stand up and turn your life around.

Re: contrarianchick – i agree with you as well. i'm not sure redmond has any real life skills, which is a shame. he has been pampered his whole life. he will spend his inheritance on drugs and either slither away and die or get the help he needs( after the money is gone) and get a regular life and job. i am rooting for him 100%.
