As album sales numbers came in, we find Susan Boyle riding high at #1 with 700,000 albums sold!!
But, she's not alone at the top! She's joined by Glambert's For Your Entertainment at #3 and Gagaloo taking #5 and #6 with The Fame Monster EP and Deluxe releases.
Although, Shakira can't be as happy. The diva bombed by selling only 89,000 albums and coming in at #15!
Guess we all can't be selling it like SuBo! Who would have guessed it.

While Susan Boyle is nice and all, she was not that great on DWTS.
Lady Gaga's $80 Deluxe set does not sell until Dec.15, so maybe some fans are waiting to buy that and not the EP or 2disc Deluxe set.
Anyways with Itunes who buys a whole cd these days, unless your a fan.

Re: gloom – Yep I do, do you think she'll prioritize chart position over sales? Which one is going to make her the most money? Sales. So if someone had bought The Fame when it was originally released (like me for example) and then she comes up with practically a new album so soon after that, some people are bound to feel slightly cheated having to by the new EP whereas people who didn't have The Fame at all can buy The Fame Monster Deluxe version and pay less than those who had her album already (this isn't just an attack on her, on all musicians who do this).
I am glad, maybe she will get that her recentl "blonde, slutty, cheap songs" don`t pay off…haha !!

BTW, Shakira doesn't even need to depend on American sales…She has a bigger fan base in Europe and Latin America. She's like Queen Madonna in that her sales are more counted on a global level.

so if you combine Monster & The Fame Deluxe Lady Gaga sold more albums than Rihanna (without a doubt) & probably Lambert as well.
Regardless of sales, I must admit Subo's voice is very nice, Gaga is just plain scary, Rihanna is good but I hate the fact that she decided to talk about her problem right before her album dropped (I understand her though), Lambert, I really don't care. I bought SHAKIRA's and I am amazed at the variety of rythms… only song I skip is Gipsy, it's nice, but too slow.

XD…BTW…As I read somewhere in here, Shakira's album was released worldwide more than a month ago, so yes, sadly, it was already in perfect quality on the web and available for full download in several places. Sellin 89,000 is not SHAMED nowadays. It really depends on where, when and against who. She Wolf album has been number #1 in more than 12 countries, in some of which it's still number one. So, no, it's not a flop, considering it's been considered by MANY MANY critics her best since DELL, and THE KINDA POP ALL POP DIVAS SHOULD BE MAKING. Oh yes! And it's been considered one of the best Pop albums of the year, even by Rolling Stone Mag.
So people, U better read first and THEN make an opinion. BTW…those who say thay can not stand Shakira's voice: "Change the channel, change the radio station" as simple as that! Haters! U whish U could have at least half the talent, half the money and half the intelligence she has. Shakira made an album thats's too INTERNATIONAL for the USA, that's why it has been #q in more than 12 countries. Shakira, as Madonna, knows the USA is an important area, but it's not the only one. Therefore, Celebration is a hufe succes in Europe but a flop in the USA. So it;s Shw Wolf, it has a great demand around the world and even USA critics looooved the album stating IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST POP ALBUMS IN THE RECENT YEARS! That's something no?
Now, for me, Shakira is a TRUE INTERNATIONAL POP STAR, not just an USA POP STAR (lots and lots of them), just like Madonna. So, tell me someone, SOMEONE, besides MADONNA (Long Live The Queen) that fills those gaps?! That's why the Queen dosen't worry about new comers, cuz she knows they could never be like her. Shakira, with almost 20 years of career, is the only one who can follow her steps and someday take the crown with all due respect and always saying: "M will always be The Queen" XD
