ABC Making Artists Sign Glambert-Inspired Contracts!
In the aftermath of Adam Lambert's AMA performance, Disney/ABC Television Group wants to make sure that they never face this sort of controversy again.
So, in order for them to put the kabosh on boys getting frisky with each other, company president Anne Sweeney is taking steps to ensure that artists are contractually obligated to have their live performances match their rehearsals.
"We certainly don't want to suppress artistry at any level, but we also have to be very cognizant of who our audience is," said Sweeney.
Riiiight.

FIRST of all I found nothing wrong with the performance, then again I am a 18 year old female, who believes in both equal rights and artistic freedom. I know first hand not all individuals think, act, or feel the way I do. Each individual has the right to their opipions no matter how "stupid" or "ridiculous" others believe it is.
With that said, I looked up some information and in regards to the FCC Adam was in the clear. They monitor programing for complaints that take place between the time period of 6am-10pm. For the first airing on the east coast. The performance took place close to 11pm (the end of the AMAs). With that being said the FCC "should not" have anything to do with this situation based on their own statues.
It then comes down to the network. As we can see Disney/ABC or how every they are currently named after the joint companies is not taking lightly to the "controversy" brought on by complaints.
With that I personally feel that Adam's performance was more "age" and "show" appropriate. The Miley Cyrus "Pole Dancing" took place on a program for kids. You don't see many of her performances being canceled. I under no way trying to say that Adam's performance as a whole was more appropriate, because it wasn't, but taking into consideration when he performed, and the target audience, the flack that he is taking is unfair. It can be taken that the Network is not fairly "judging" their performers.
