Fox Is Ready To Howl
It seems pop culture is trying to segway out of the coffins and into the woods.
Vampires are out and Werewolves are in!
With much thanks to the hunky Taylor Launter for bringing sexy back to the furry creatures, the Fox network is looking to bank on the trend just as HBO and The CW did with their vampy programming.
Fox has just signed a deal to put a new series in production called Howl.
The show, which comes to them from Dreamworks TV, centers around an Alaskan family that just happens to be a pack of werewolves. As we understand it, the writers of the series are looking to give a new twist to the mythology, much like Twilight did for vampires.
Let's just hope their fur doesn't sparkle!
Sounds like something tweeny Twi-hards would tune in for.

I get the whole Twilight buzz..But i'm a big fan of the Dark Hunter Novels by Sherrilynn Kenyon and i am still hopeful that SOMEONE will back this up and try to come up with a movie or series based on her books….

I think a main reason why people love the wolf pack in Twilight is because of the way it connects to the story. You gradually get to know Jacob and the rest of the wolves, but the story centers around vampires–If the whole concept of Twilight was reversed (Bella meets/falls in love with Jacob, and Edward and the rest of the vamps are not as much in the spotlight etc), I don't think the Twilight series would have been as popular as it is now, because werewolves don't have the same appeal as Vampires have. But who knows?
Either way, as a Team Jacob girl this series doesn't sound too exciting to me. I'd rather watch True Blood or something.

Fyi True Blood the first season finished airing just as Twilight was released to theaters and the books upon which True Blood was based was released 4 years before the first Twilight book.

Taylor Lautner is a show stealer and he showed his committment by working so hard to gain 30 lbs. of muscle specifically so he could keep the role of Jacob Black.
Personally, even in the Underworld franchise I'm always more inclined to favor the Lycans.
I see Perez, or his sister, are trying to utilize important sounding words like "segue" (pronounced sey-gwey)and yet they still manage to get it all wrong.
