Love True Blood, but vamps can't stand food, except for blood. At least in the books. As to Talbot's beauty, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Maybe he'll look better on the screen. One hopes.

I need to see him on the show, because the truth is I didn't find Alexander Skarsgard that attractive in pictures at first either. I also think Ryan aka Jason Stackhouse looks better on the show, then in his pictures.

True Blood came first with season one airing Sept.-Nov. 2008.
Twilight came out late Nov. 2008.
The True Blood books also came out years before the Twilight books.
Just a point related to the original post and to also keep the Twilight fans informed as to what came first.

First off, Talbot wasn't a vampire in the book series, but that's okay, since there are lots of difference. Second, I think I'd have to see the guy in action before I make a decision on whether he's "intensely beautiful". Just as with Alexander Skarsgard, sometimes still photos don't do a person justice, and you have to see them in character before you can get a true impression. Just seeing this photo, he looks like a long-haired Harry Connick, Jr to me.
