      Frankly that the Swiss govt. held him as long as they did surprised me. That they released him before the conclusion of the extradition process one way or another is disturbing.

      Not related to this case, but if America was not one of the only Western nations to allow the death penalty, extradition to America of her criminals abroad would be so much easier. Check out a list of the countries that still do practice the death penalty any American I know would be ashamed to be on that list if they knew it.
