He really did kick reality television's ass!

Steven Seagal Lawman premiered on A&E Wednesday night and brought in a record breaking 3.5 million viewers, making it the network's most-watched original series premiere.

Who knew so many people would be tuning in to see Steven Seagal?

Earlier in the week, A&E's Intervention spin-off Hoarders had 3.2 million tuning in for it's second season.

Dang!

    Good for him.

  2. 2

didn't he used to use kelly lebrock as a punching bag? why would they give a woman-beater a badge? i find this really disturbing. he's a total wackjob.

  3. 3

    i love hoarders

  4. 4

I had the biggest crush on him back in the day. I forgot the show was on….I'm so recording it. Still heart him…fat and old even.

thats because new orleans is so fucked up!

  6. 6

…apparently 3.5 million people had nothing to do last night.

  7. 7

People do seem to love a train-wreck

  8. 8

OMG that Intervention with the Asian family was sooo good. Well so sad actually!

I did tune in to watch the Steven Segal premier. I had actually been looking forward to it since I first saw the preview a couple months ago. It was kinda boring but it's like, he's such a bad mo-fo'…who cares?! :)

i watched law man, and it was a good show.. its funny looking at segal as a cop, but he is a good cop. he is a big guy too. he is 6'4 but he is heavier now then when he was back in the day when most of his movies came out. one thing i would like to point out is, the show looks like the show cops, same shots, same type of thing, with the interlaced segal kung fu lessons mixed in. which by the way, he is still pretty sick and very fast with his moves, no doubt this dude can kill you in 2 seconds.

  11. 11

I watched all 3 shows surprisingly lol and they were all very interesting!

Say what you want to about "Hoarders", but that show is amazing and has helped my family tremendously. My brother suffers from bipolar disorder and OCD, and the inside of his home looks like a third world country. He's educated and incredibly smart, yet hasn't held a job in almost 10 years. We used to get so angry and frustrated with him. This show has given us enormous insight into his condition and what he's going through, and it's taught us to be more patient and understanding with him. Oh, and about Seagal's show–I forgot it premiered last night. Totally want to watch it.

He got the high ratings only because Howard Stern was Talking about it on his show. Howard got to see a preview of it and said how hilarious it was to see the Hefty Segal chasing after criminals….Howard urged his listeners to watch it! And when the king speaks, the crowd follows.

  14. 14

I agree with hockey. It reminded me of cops but it has these scenes when he's trying to teach fellow cops some moves and it's pretty funny to watch!

  15. 15

I watched it- It was actually pretty scary to see the hoods of New Orleans- I am gonna stay in Massachusetts- But it was really entertaining!

  16. 16

Re: izelli – True!! Thats why we ended up watching it- My husband heard it on Howard…

  17. 17

Dammit! I forgot it was on. We really wanted to watch it too. Rerun schedule anyone? He really is a bona-fide cop? How long has he been one?

  18. 18

Re: sobrietyisacrutch – Like 20 yrs.. He is a captain of the dept.

  19. 19

Who knew? Dudes, that's who. I don't know one guy who doesn't like at least one Seagal movie. Of course, all those same guys don't listen to Lady Gaga.

  20. 20

    Hoarders rocks!

  21. 21

    G-R-O-S-S !

And I find it really hysterical, considering he's been connected to the MOB for years!

I love hoarders and intervention, man the shit people do is insane!!!

  23. 23

We don't have cable, and we're really not fans of his, but we would've watched it if we had the channel.

  24. 24

I watched Steven Segal: Lawman and it was a really good show! I expected it to be all about him being a d-bag but the program was really interesting.

  25. 25

YES!!! Intervention and Hoarders is really interesting-watch every week! I definitely plan to check out Lawman.

  26. 26

Intervention and Hoarders deal with mentally ill people. I think A&E need to start a series for homosexuals, bisexuals and transvestites, too. They shouldn't be left out!

  27. 27

Nope, and don't plan on it.
Sick to death of lame scripted fake reality shows

  28. 28

OMG…Hoarders….did that woman think that those two dead cats in her house
were sweaters laying in the floor….I almost lost it….Intervention and Segal were great!!!

  29. 29

Hoarders = AMAZING. Did you see the one with the guy who had dirty diapers all over his bathroom?

  30. 30

yup i tuned in. better than watching those kardashian whores

  31. 31

It is really funny–I don't think it's suppose to be funny-but it is

A&E was once a much different network. These two shows are just crap. The real piece of shit will be when the Jackson brothers use their new show (yes I know the deal was in place before MJs death, because they were hoping to reunite with him on that show as originally pitched), to "grieve" for their brother on camera, how sick.
And also someone please tell them the definition of what a dynasty is, they obviously have no clue whatsoever.

  33. 33

HE ISNT A NEW ORLEANS POLICE OFFICER. HE'S A JEFFERSON PARISH POLICE OFFICER. AND ITS NOT A GHETTO. TRUST ME. IVE LIVED HERE 23 YEARS.

  34. 34

It's sad that 3.5 million people had nothing better to watch than shows like that.

  35. 35

I don't know about this douche, but "Intervention" is one of the coolest shows on the tube b/c of its blatant honesty. It doesn't hide anything, anywhere. If you love to watch human behavior, try it…you'll like it.

  36. 36

I watched the Steven Segal show… It was Alot better then I though it woulda been. I found it interesting how they slowed down the camera video 2 let u c it how he sees it.

Re: Swear to ME! – I read that a couple of mobsters thought it would be funny to shake Steven Seagal down when his career cooled a bit, ordering him to do their movies, but I read of no connection. The story is readily available to read if you want the real facts.

  38. 38

Did you see when he was shooting the target? He kept hitting the same hole. that's some good shooting.

  39. 39

He still looks great! I'd have him as my body guard ANYDAY! Didn't watch the show but will next time……….SEXYYYYYY UmmmmmmUmmmmmmmm!!!

  40. 40

    Hoarders is a great show.

  41. 41

Steven Seagal is the real thing; he's an Aikido master for f**k's sake.

Re: beccadew – agreed. not nopd. and trust me jefferson is far frm a ghetto

  43. 43

Steven is a "Reserve Police Captain" for Jefferson Parish. That means he isn't a full time officer and is working the streets so they can film the series. I'm sure he is doing this it so he can make some money to finance his stupid self produced movies like "Attack Force" Worst movie ever! Watch the credits at the end of his A&E program
it lists him as a Reserve Officer.
