They Couldn't Come Up With Anything Better?

Make sure to have holiday plans set up for December 20th. Otherwise, you might be home, scanning through the channels, and happen upon the lamest idea of a holiday TV special.
CBS has just announced that while other channels will be playing classic Christmas flicks like Rudolph, CBS be showing the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest.
We can just sense your jubilation!
Olympic skiers will join celebs like Larry David and Neil Patrick Harris as they slide around the slopes for an hour or so.
The program will also include a performance from the band Train.
Let's hope this doesn't kill their ratings.

STFU ABOUT CBS ALREADY. WHINING LIKE A LITTLE BITCH WON'T GET YOUR PRECIOUS GLAMBERT ON THERE ANY FASTER.
hey thats edinburgh! i live their! and i hate it…

Train is still around? A decade ago at the paper I worked at, we used to joke that you could tell a band was terrible if they cited Train as an influence. One of the blandest bands of all time.
Actually this is a really popular event and CBS airs it every year.
If I wanted to watch downhill I'd follow your book sales on Amazon.
Struggling to understand the link between the words and a "no skiing"(?) sign on top of a shopping centre on Princes Street, Edinburgh, Scotland. o_O
Is the photo irrelevant to the TV program mentioned or has it got something to with Edinburgh? There's certainly no snow slopes in that part of Scotland… Well, apart from a big plastic one.
Hey genius- CBS has been airing Rudolph since the 70s.
thats edinburgh! i live ther 2!
Neil Patrick Harris usually knows what he's doing, so let's hope this isn't as much of a BOMB as it sounds O_O
Re: squashie – I was trying to figure out why that sign was in front of Princes Street Mall. I've never seen it there before. I live 5 minutes from there, and no where to ski! Confused by the sign…
Re: taniatania – Me too! Have you ever seen that sign??
Re: Serena!!!COLON!!! You Twats! – That's exactly what I thought! Looks like it was before the refurb of the Waverly (as it was called then.) I lived in Edinburgh my whole life and have never seen it either!
They should have shown a Warren Miller film if they were going to show anything about skiing first of all.
CBS is the network that carries Rudulph, dummy.
Am I the only one that thought this was going to be a joke about how the sign looks like the guys bent over, getting a rod in the pooper? Anyone? No? …damn.
Re: MichelleBelle –
Haha I did too! I guess perez posted it cause NPH is going to be skiing…
Re: marierawr – – Neil Patrick Harris is obligated by contract to do pretty much every event CBS wants him to be part of, no matter how bad it is.
WTF??!! What the hell does that mean? "Ski carefully or you'll get a big pole up your ass!!??"
The sign is from theis years festival. They had loads of retarded signs all over Princes Mall as some lame art thing. Some of them were pretty funny like
Re: Stevo – Actually I did hear about that. Meant to go but never did. Must never have visited the half-price hut last year. Bloody tourists. o_O Princes Shopping "Mall" looks really old in that photo!
WTH is coming out of that guy's ass??!!!
"They couldn't come up with anything better?"
The theme for this site.
RE: playergnslngr LOLOLOL!!!!
In a related story, Perez was seen heading there with a tube of KY.
looks like some kind of wire going in his butt
Re: MichelleBelle – i thought that too…guess no one else did HA!
Re: squashie – That mall is completely useless, except for the chavs who eat at the food court. The place needs to be torn down.
Re: Serena!!!COLON!!! You Twats! – ha ha Aye, it is the biggest waste of space. Doesn't look quite as bad as the St. James' Centre but it's almost empty these days. Would be nice to have rebuilt something in its place when they refurb Waverly but I doubt that'll happen. o_O
Edinburgh looks so lovely when you remove the crap in the foreground. Princes Street Mall is mostly underground (or built into it) so it's not that big a deal. A few decent places inside it wouldn't go amiss though.
I don't even see why you consider this holiday programming, It just is airing around the holiday season, when shows are in repeats.
Why do you hate on the most successful network, CBS, so much? Could it be because I have seen ads on here for ABC, CW, and I believe Fox shows on here but no CBS.
Lastly you have stated twice in the last couple of days that you do not watch TV, so if I believe that (which I am not sure I do), why trust your opinions on TV.
