Twilighter Ends Up In Jail For Movie Piracy Being A Moron!
A Twilighter in Chicago was arrested at a screening of New Moon for apparently videotaping the movie.
Oddly enough, she never actually videotaped ANY part of the movie, with the exception of some ads before the flick!
Turns out the 22-year-old took her sister out to celebrate her 29th birthday and snapped some pictures in their seats with their new camera before the film started.
As the lights dimmed, the woman started fiddling with the camera, still unfamiliar as to how it worked. A manager caught sight of this and immediately called the police.
The cops arrested her, charged her with a felony, and threw her in jail for two days facing charges of a hefty fine or possibly spending up to three years in prison!
So what ended up on the camera? Just FOUR minutes of recording which included commercials, the woman's conversation with her family, and NO FOOTAGE of the movie.
Extreme? YES!
The woman insists she had no intention of filming the movie and that she was just trying to work her new camera. Furthermore, when she used the camera in the theater to take pictures and record a video of the family singing "Happy Birthday", the usher never warned her not to use the camera.
Obviously, she plans to fight the charges in court.
How absurd!

Thats a little bit too harsh .But I loved New Moon and i cannot seem to keep it to myself i keep on telling everyone what happens and how the movie ends. I loved it , after seeing the wolfpack,i completely switched sides, Edward who?.
what a horribly fucked up world we live in. an innocent 22 year old girl who was just fiddling with a camera sits in jail for 2 days and an admitted childrapist lives in the lap of luxury in his swiss chalet enjoying the high life.

Good lord…talk about overdoing it for something so stupid! I can understand if she actually fimed the movie or if that was her intention but they ovbiously could have just looked and the footage on the camera and let her go for a "misunderstandin". This is so ridiculous and such a waste of our $ too! But I agree that this lady SHOULD sue and hopefully will get reimbursed for her troubles.

Because even though she absolutely did not deserve what happened to her, she was a moron for using an electronic device while a movie was being run - rude and disruptive to others who trying to watch he movie. Again, I think what happened to her was wrong - and I think she should sue - but people in general who go to a movie and then make phone calls, listen to messages, text, etc., truly are rude, selfish, self-absorbed, inconsiderate - and yes, moronic.

the poor girl did something that probably 100s of other girls were doing too - taking pictures of them getting ready for twilight. and somehow this girl got "caught" and things went way too far!

ITS A SCREENING!!!! your not suppose to bring a camera, cell pone or any other recording devices into the theater!!! It says so when you print your ticket or on the flyer!!! thats what she gets!!!

Why not arrest the theatre projectionist that illegally telecined the film and put it out on the internet?? That's the real criminal.
