Tom Brokaw Involved In Deadly 3-Car Crash!
Tom Brokaw and his wife found themselves part of a 3-vehicle accident in the Bronx on Friday that left one woman dead!
Brokaw was not responsible for the accident on the Bruckner Expressway in New York Friday afternoon, which killed Suejas Estrada and injured a USPS worker.
According to a statement released by NBC, the former news anchor was driving his 2006 Volvo station wagon when he witnessed a Ford Expedition (Estrada) that "came up fast" behind him.
Estrada swerved left to dodge hitting a spool of cable, but ended up slamming a Postal Service truck into the center lane.
The statement explains the accident in detail: "As the mail truck careened into the Brokaw lane, Tom hit the brakes hard and skidded along the median… When the mail truck catapulted the median, the Brokaw vehicle slid into it."
Brokaw and his wife were left unharmed, but the impact of the crash threw Estrada through the driver's side window, causing her death.
So, so sad.

Poor Tom. That happened to me once, I was driving onthe highwway and some asshole came up behind me super fast. its really frightening when someone does that.
She hit me and totaled my car and injured my elderly mother.
Why do people need to be flying up the highway? Fucking drive saf, youre not going to get to your destination any faster
I would be willing to bet that the family of this unfortunate woman tries to somehow make this Mr. Brokaw's fault.

Poor woman, but sounds like something a seat belt would've helped with. Why people STILL insist on not wearing it.. I'll never know.
I love the fact that the people in the little Volvo wagon were fine, and the woman in the huge 'safe' SUV was killed when she was thrown through the SIDE window (WTF?)

it sounds like it was this womans own fault. i feel no sympathy for drivers driving like assholes then crashing. if she hadn't been "coming up fast" she'd probably still be alive.
